Chapter 2

It was already the forth period of what seemed like an eternal Monday morning and Robyn was already distracted, not by the usual things her best friend did in class that made her giggle or by the notes her boyfriend sent to her just to make her smile.

She was distracted by the thought of what she discovered in the last weekend and she started thinking about how she didn't see it coming

How did I not see this coming?
Why did I allow him to do this to me?
Am I not good enough for him anymore?
I shouldn't have worn that stupid dress, he doesn't like it either way!

At that point she giggled at herself cause she knew that that last point was pretty stupid!

"Ms. Williams?"

At that point she realised that her English teacher noticed that her mind was far from the Romeo and Juliet scene they were reading

"Yes Mrs.Butterworth?" Robyn said as she felt her cheecks going red

"I see love suicide tickles your fancy? " Mrs Butterworth's facial expression only read SARCASM

"Uhm... no ma'am...I was.." Robyn felt half dead inside with embarrassment and it was impossible to cover it up

"Ma'am" Kevin interrupted them as he noticed how the love of his life was about to burst with embarrassment

"Yes Kevin?"

But just before Kevin could continue with his attempt to save Robyn the bell rang and as usual the class didn't wait for the teacher to greet them,especially not when the bell for break went off, they just stormed out continuing with the stories they were talking about just before getting into the class

Robyn was so consumed by the attempt at avoiding Kevin that she left her best friend behind in class

This was so unusual because usually the pair would stroll to their next class while chatting up a storm about anything that came to mind

They were hardly, almost never, seen apart during or after school

"What's wrong with her?" Michelle asked Kevin as she slowed down to walk with him

"It's a long story 'Chelle." Kevin said, in what sounded like a disappointed tone, which was totally unlike him. He was always jolly and crazy, that's what made him and Robyn the perfect pair, they were very alike.

"Butt out, you ingenius pest!" And that insult came from Keagan, Kevin's best friend, the arrogant one of the four.He and Michelle could never stand each other for 2 seconds without throwing insults at each other

"Agh! Shut Up Keagan. Can't you see there's more to this than what your tiny eyes can gather?" The smirk on Michelle's face after she said those words just read Victory!

Kevin laughed because he knew Keagan could never said anything after being dissed about his small eyes

"Whatever, Dumb fuck!"Keagan replied but he knew it meant nothing because all four of them were very far from being dumb, infact they were all in the Top 10.

Nerds? Well they weren't just nerds, they were classified as cool nerds ... They were all academically and socially respected

They were even named the Fantastic 4, they didn't really like the name but they didn't really mind it either. They were all so close ... They sat next to each other in class, they were all in the Top 10, they all studied together, they even chilled together in and out of school ... well they were either all together or in pairs.

"Haha even that can't get me down. Anyhow catch y'all later, I have duty by the tuckshop today.." Michelle sighed as she dragged her feet to the loud tuckshop

"I hope those gradies eat you up!" Keagan shouted at Michelle as she raced down the corridors to her post.

Yes they were RCLs as well

"Man! I hope Robyn isn't to mad at me." Kevin sighed

"Agh! Don't sweat it bro, y'all always sort things out."Keagan said just before he fixed his turquoise blue blazer which was flooded with academic and sports scrolls. The blazer sat so well on his biceps, it almost flaunted them.

Kevin laughed as he noticed a pair of grade 10 girls melting at the site of their superior bodies approaching
"You might just score yourself a little girl while you're accidentally flexing." he teased
"Oh please! They would be shit lucky to even blink at the sight of me." Keagan said as he smiled at the girls while passing them

"Arrogant much!" Kevin couldn't help but laugh at the obvious fact he just stated..

The two carried on with their corridor duty as the break went on

Eventually the day was speeding by. Robyn managed to avoid talking to Kevin, Kevin kept bothering Robyn with nudges, texts, notes and so on but didn't get past getting a look of irritation and Michelle and Keagan had no clue about what was going on, they just knew it was bad.

Home sweet home!
Robyn thought as she dropped her bag on the tiled floor of her bedroom and jumped on her bed which was covered in a pink and purple duvet cover

But just as she was about to doze off, her best friend stormed into her room

"You have a whole lot of explaining to do Ms. Williams"

The two giggled as the thought of what happened in English that day resurfaced in their minds

"Agh! Whatever!" Robyn exclaimed as she sat up on her bed

"Wow she's laughing! "

"I always laugh though..."

"Yes you do, when you're not busy avoiding the whole world including your bestie"

"I...." Robyn didn't know what to say

"It's okay. I won't force it out of you." Michelle reassured her

"Thank you. " Robyn said softly looking down at her pink and purple duvet cover

"Anyways ... I need help with those graphs we learnt today" Michelle let out, sounding almost hopeless

"Graphs?" Robyn was perplexed

"Oh ya, you wouldn't know cause you were zoned out." Michelle said jokingly

"But I do know that we don't have any homework today."

"And that's a hundred points for the lady in the turquoise uniform!" Michelle always had a joke up her sleeve

The two carried on talking about whatever came out of their mouths .. This went on for hours until Michelle had to go home

Robyn was back in her room.

She checked her phone for any messages and noticed that her Mobile Data was off , she switched it on and waited until her phone was finished beeping in all kinds of tones

She checked her notification bar and most of the beeps were caused by Kevin

Why can't he just leave me alone, she thought as she changed into her pyjamas and headed straight for bed

Lucky for her, her mom wasn't the type to bother her, especially when her bedroom door was closed
