Chapter 6

Thursday Morning at school

"Where's my present? "

"What present?" Robyn asked looking perplexed

"That's the only thing I could guess, okay. " Michelle was full of curiosity

"Ohhh lol naah man I ain't got nothing for you today. "

"Ahhh man. So what did you want to tell me ?" Michelle asked as they both put their bags down by their class. The bell for registration had already rung and everyone was lined up waiting for their teacher.

"Tell you what?" Keagan interupted

"Uhmm nothing Keags..... just girl talk" Robyn said quickly

"Since when does girl stuff ever stop yall from talking about it?" Kevin came in to yhe conversation as well

Robyn felt herself sweat from the inside out. She knew she couldn't lie to Kevin but it would cause more problems between them if they kept with tge conversation

"When it doesn't concern you guys. You guys should learn to walk away sometimes." Michelle answered as she noticed it was nothing that could be said in front of Keagan and Kevin.

"We'll sit at our back row seats today. " Robyn announced as she grabbed her bag and walked in with the rest of the class

Kevin and Keagan gave each other a look of curiosity. They couldn't help but wonder what was on today's agenda.

"Okay since when can't you say anything in front of Kevin? " Michelle asked Robyn as they got seated

"Everyone will be glad that I didn't. It's like I just defused a nuclear bomb. "

"Okay okay whatever ... what is the explosion about then?" Michelle couldn't contain her curiosity any longer

"Well..." Robyn whispered "Jared and I talked last night. "

"WHAT?!"Michelle couldn't whisper that sense of shock. A few people in their class looked back at them but because the class was talking relatively loud, not a lot of people heard Michelle, but unfortunately for Robyn, Kevin and Keagan heard the fairly loud cry of shock and looked back at the girls.

Kevin couldn't help but let his thoughts wonder off . He wanted to know what Robyn was being so secretive about. At one point he found himself mentally preparing himself for a break up. He could feel himself losing his mind a little.
"Don't sweat it bro. It's probably nothing bad."

"Yeah I guess so." Kevin tried to reassure his friend that he wasn't bothered but Keagan knew it bothered him from the furthest vessel in his body to his flesh.

At the back of the class the soft conversation between Robyn and Michelle continued.

Robyn had already explained that she was in the bath when he called so she had to return his call.

"Why did you even return his call?"

"It would be rude not to Michelle."

"Oh please Robyn. We both know that's just an excuse. "

Robyn didn't reply to that she just looked down with a guilty look on her face
"This will only complicate things further between you and Kevin."

"Yeah I know, I thought about it a thousand times.. but I was curious okay."

"Hmm if you say so Robyn." Michelle was clearly backing Kevin up. She really adored his relationship with Robyn, but she also had to be Robyn's best friend. "Soo.... what did he want?"
