Robyn made her way downstairs , leaving her phone on her bed again. Robyn was a social freak but she also enjoyed being away from her virtual world.
"Mom...." Robyn called out as she got her food from the microwave

"You know if I got paid for every time you call me I would be a billionaire."

"Haha" Robyn said sarcastically "I just wanted to let you know that I'm still alive." Robyn continued as she settled on the couch next to her mom.

"Well yes I am dear. Let me watch this show before I go to bed."

"I still have a bit of studying to do before I can go to bed." Robyn sounded so depressed by the thought of it. She silently continued to eat her food as her mom continued watching a soap opera that Robyn considered boring, she would much rather read a book about aliens than watch the worst show ever.

The moments went by and Robyn rushed to put her plate in the dishwasher before her mom went to bed. she hated the 20 seconds of darkness that she had to go through after switching the lights off and had to walk quickly to her room before she made up ghosts that lived in the darkness

"Night mom."

"Good night dear. Aren't you gonna study though? "

"Well I'm exhausted so I don't think I will. I might wake up at 3am to study though ... I'm not sure. "

"Ok. As long as you still getting those good marks."

"Yes mom."

As Robyn made her way back to her room she realised how little she and her mom spoke lately, it was just so brief lately and that was unusual. And then she thought how horrible it was of her to even think of not studying but nerds need a break as well and she has been overwhelmed lately with all the work load.

"I deserve a break though." Robyn said out loud as she was packing her books for the next day and putting her Mathematics book as far from her as possible. "I'll deal with it tomorrow even though I feel horrible for being so lazy right now." She continued.

Robyn grabbed her phone as she switched off the light in her room and used the screen light to guide her to her bed again. When she was in bed she remembered she was supposed to call someone, but before doing that she replied to her text messsges.

Sorry if I seemed like an ass today she texted Kevin

I don't know. I haven't looked at it yet. She texted one of her classmates who wanted to know what the answer to question 4 of the Romeo and Juliet questions was. And her phone beeped as she received a text from Kevin again

I need to slow down on the ice cream, I feel fat. She texted her best friend

Kevin texted back Its cool, don't sweat it.

Okay whatevs. Good night! Robyn replied, she didn't know what else to say to him at that moment.

Finally she updated her status school is a bitch. Tired AF and then went to her phone book.

She searched for a contact named Jared. Time to return that call she thought to herself as she tapped the call icon, with a smile on her face.

The phone rang 4 times and a familiar voice was on the other end.

"Lil nerd." That name, for Robyn, was the worst but Jared was one of the best people she knew so she tolerated it

"I'm not so little any more, you know ?"

"Yeah but you're still a nerd."

"A cool one, that is."

"Yeah whatever. How you doing though?"
