He truly doesn't know when the feeling started to arise or the reason for them.
But he regrets not realizing it sooner. Because all in all, it's all he thinks about when he sees Kouenji Rokusuke now. He could almost see the green-eyed monster creeping up to him when he sees the blond now.
He doesn't understand what he's jealous of though. Doesn't understand what Kouenji Rokusuke has that he wants.
So he just ignores it until it goes away, because that is something he can't control in a way. Other than distancing himself away from the narcissistic man in the hope the jealousy to just wears off. This was something he wasn't trained to excel in. He's out of his element in this situation, and his skin crawls from it.
But like normally everything in his life, it doesn't go as planned.
He spends late nights thinking about every decision that the other man has made that he knows of. Dating back to his introduction on the first day, to his decision on the bus, to seeing him around campus surrounded by upper classmates or faculty members.
Kouenji seems to reel in the attention he gets. He rarely seems to sit still and simply ignores everything around him. But even when he was just staring at his hand-held mirror, he was still taking in information around himself. Seemingly pretending that he was relaxed fully.
Kouenji is....confusing, he concluded on his way back to his dorm room.

The blond hair man has takes up too much of his attention lately and it's getting on his nerves.
He starts catching himself staring at him during class, which is something he never thought would happen.
Why was he so caught upon this man when his whole plan was to ignore his existence?
It was stupid and making him angsty in the end. That man would have his head if he saw him so out of it. He was getting sloppy....
"You've switched sceneries," a voice to his side stated, setting down her lunch. It was a simple rice and beef mixture. Nothing too extreme, just something that would get them through the day.
"Hmm?" He questioned back, glancing out the window on the opposite side of where he was originally staring. Nothing changed or has been added without his knowledge. He looks back quickly to see her glaring back at him.
...what's her problem.
"Pathetic." she states, letting out a sigh before grabbing a piece of her food.
What's he done this time to lead to this abuse...?
His eyes quickly dart up to Kouenji as he leaves. Most likely to be treated by an upper classmate in hopes of getting on his good side.
"At least be subtle about it, you pathetic imbecile." She states before going back to eating, efficiently cutting out all communication between both of them.
...what?

He doesn't dwell on his new obsession for long in fact. He simply just distracts himself when he catches himself staring.
Staring at Kouenji while Chabashira is halfway through her lesson?
Look at that bluebird flying to its nest in the tree.
Staring again when Hoshinomiya is setting up?
What's Horikta doing next to him?
Staring again as it's nearing lunch?
Just continue writing notes as a distraction.
Just. keep. Writing.
