He steps foot on the land of inazuma memories rush to his head of the "raiden incident"

Beidou was in tears and Ninnguangs was just holding her comforting her while telling me to be safe they were always like mothers to me

His mind went back to the incident
He remembered it started with him and his "friend" being assignment to take out the empress's sister
They got the job done but the shogun saw them blood smeared everywhere and her sisters life less body kazuha was able to get away after watching his love be completely slaughtered

"Ugh" he landed on the angled cement and hit his tailbone pretty hard "sorry sir"
The man reached his hand out to help kazuha up
"Thanks I guess..." he looked into the man's eyes they were purple and he had purple hair

Before kazuha could say anything else the man walked off

Kazuha grinned slightly and continued walking his way to castle he began to play change in the house of flies by deftones smiling his way to the raidens palace knowing this assignment truly gonna be a trip

While passing by he sees alot of familiar faces from when he was last hear
He didn't personally know these people he just
Remembers passing by them often
Because his "friend" would drag him off somewhere

He sees thoma and ayato probably on a date he's always seen them quite close even sometimes making out in a alley
God he regrets ever looking down that alley
His eyes were no longer versions at that point

He laughed to himself and looks up to be met with the grand palace itself

He sees even more flashbacks
The memories rush up to him
Blood....
Everywhere...
He walked up to a guard shows him the paper signed with the royal signature stating from here on out he was the one hired to be the new personal guard of the royal prince

Kazuha didn't dare ask what happened to the last one
The guards let him in And told him to just go the princes room

Kazuha was prepared for anything and everything that much was clear he already planned out the worst things that could possibly happen to him on this assignment

The prince slaughters him

People raise suspicion of him and he gets a public execution

The raiden somehow remembers him regardless of never seeing his face and executes him herself

In process of killing the prince the prince ends up killing him
The list goes on
But than again he Is known to be prepared for anything and everything
He was top agent for a variety of reasons this was one of them

He reaches the royals bedroom and knocks politely he doesn't know if the prince would be here he ran into him on the streets there was low chance he'd be here by now

"JUST A MINUTE" a voice in the room screamed

This royal is truly something I mean this quickly he must be quick on his feet I mean there is a chance he recognized me on the streets and rushed home I was walking pretty slow
Just as kazuha was going to get lost in his thoughts again
The door busts open
To a panting scaramouche dressed up in traditional royal attire which can be quite revealing sometimes he's seen the raiden shogun face to fox mask he knows how the shogun is dressed
Scaramouche looked confused
"Your the bo-"
Kazuha gets cut off he knew he had to play stupid to not be suspicious so he played along slightly like he knows nothing

"Shhh" scaramouche says putting a hand to his mouth and dragging him into his room with the other

Geez does he have to pull me so close?
I mean the royals are openly gay
Like the raiden is for her old friend yae Miko who works at the shrine
It was quite interesting really

"MMPH!" he screams into scaramouches hand

"Shut up you'll alert someone, mom already thinks I'm enough of a hoe she doesn't need someone telling her they hear groaning from my room again" kazuha licks scaramouches hand

"Ugh how dare you" he yells while wiping his hand on his pants

"Personal space your highness"

"That's a first" scaramouche says while slightly grinning, "tell me what's your name"

"Kazuha kaedehara, your highness I'm your new personal bodyguard"

"Ah I see, hm I thought body guards are supposed to keep me from trouble but with you constantly groaning into my hand I think your trying to get me in trouble"

"I apologize but I didn't expect a hand to be put over my mouth and than to be pulled so closely to someone" kazuha said slightly annoyed he let his guard down for a split second only for something like that to happen he felt slightly ashamed of that

"Ehe yea sorry about that I just can't have people knowing I sneak out from time to time I need a break you know" scaramouche says while sitting down on his bed

I could take him out right now and no one would know... Kazuha begins to think

"I just get so sick of life I hate being royal it's nothing but added stress being constantly recognised what's the point of this constant luxury it's just to make up for this constant stress and charade" scaramouche says sounding stressed and depressed
"It's all a huge sham it's all fake there's no point"

Kazuha felt something pull in him he looked at scaramouche and saw the emotion in his eyes
No he can't kill him right now
He just can't

"Ah I'm sorry your my guard not my therapist I shouldn't be rambling like this, sorry" scaramouche said with a fake smile

No no no i can't
Kazuha walked up to scaramouche and hugged him
"Shhh it's ok, I'm here for you"
Kazuha doesn't know why but he pities him
Maybe it's because scaramouche reminds kazuha of "him"

Kazuha than heard gentle sobs coming from the boy he was hugging he looks down to see scaramouche crying slightly
Kazuha than felt arms wrap around him
To his surprise the prince hugging him back

Of course....
Their royals their smiles are fake
It's merely for show
Being royal means never having time for family
Because you'll be drowned in the work of having to take care of a entire nation
I suppose there was a reason why it's kept to a single bloodline
It's to curse them with such responsibility
Poor scaramouche...

Yes yes I'm aware scaramouche is quite a bit out of character
But please keep in mind this a au barely anything will be kept to the canonical lore
And kazuhas out of characterness will be explained soon enough
But scaramouches character is different for a reason
Because of the fact this is a au
No ones a puppet or robot and such
They'd be human so they'd be more sensitive and emotional
