Arthur sat under a tree, rubbing his eyes. He sighs as he listens to the chatter of the scared women in camp and me trying to calm them down. Arthur closes his eyes once more, a memory coming to his mind.

"Arthur!" Hosea walks over to the 24 year old. "Will you take Sanity fishing? I have some business in town and Rosie is helping Elisa with her herb studies," Arthur nods. "Of course," Hosea gives him a smile. "Be easy on the boy, alright?" Hosea says softly before calling the small boy. "Sanity, my boy. Arthur is going to take you fishing," Sanity looks up at the 24 year old. "Where's Elisa?" Sanity asks. "She is doing some studying, son. Go with Arthur for a few hours," Sanity nods. They both get on their horses and head out.

"I don't like fishing," Sanity states bluntly as he takes his fishing rod out. Arthur sighs. "I know, kid. Neither do I. But, it is time for you to pull your weight around here," Arthur pulls out some bait. As Sanity struggles to place the bait on his rod, Arthur notices some bruises on his arm. "What happened to your arm?" He asks. Sanity turns his arm away from Arthur. "Nothing," Sanity mutters. "Sanity is someone hurting you?" Sanity doesn't say anything. He sighs, looking out into the water. "You know what? Put your rod away," Sanity looks at the man confused. "Just, trust me," He nods and does as he's told. "We're not going to fish today. Today... I will be teaching you how to fight. Protect yourself," Sanity stares at Arthur as Arthur starts the combat lesson.

"Hey, Dad. You alright?" He opens his eyes, looking up. His eyes had slight disappointment in them. I look around. "Bad time?" Arthur sighs as he stands up. "I taught you how to fight," I nod. "I'm aware," Flashes of his lessons with Sanity flowing through his mind. "Why didn't you fight back?" I was taken aback by his statement. "What?" His eyes held more than disappointment. "I taught Sanity how to fight Micah back. So, why didn't you do the same?" He asks, his eyes hard. I scoff. "You're letting Micah get into your head. No, I did not like it. Not ever. And how exactly am I supposed to fight it when I was too weak to fight back. I don't know if you remember but I saved Irish's ass and ended up getting shot in the chest. I couldn't fight back. And shame on you for thinking I had a choice," I snap before walking away.

"Arthur," We both turn around to find Sadie. "You okay?" She asks. Arthur stands up. "Peachy," Arthur says. "You sure?" She asks, glancing at me. "No, I ain't sure," Sadie looks at the both of us. "Are yall still working?" I scoff. "Is anyone?" "Whole goddamn place full of people bickering, fighting, and lying. It makes me real sad," Arthur responds. "I know. I need someone to ride with me," Sadie states. "To do what?" Arthur asks. "To finish off those O'Driscolls. I heard the last of them is holed up in Hanging Dog Ranch," Arthur stares at Sadie. "I don't have it in me no more," Arthur states. "You and Elisa are the only fools I trust. And I know you wouldn't want me asking her with how reckless she's been," He looks over at me, another memory popping into his head.

"Why is it every time we seem to run into O'Driscolls, you brutally murder them?" Arthur asks a 20 year old Sanity. "They killed my mother, Arthur. I will not rest until every last one of those fake irish bastards are dead,"

Arthur sighs and nods. "I'll tell you what. I'll do it. But there's something you gotta help me with," Sadie turns to him. "John and Abigail. Jack. Rose, Molly, and Elisa... Make sure they make it. I mean this whole thing is pretty much done, but, when the time comes-" "How do you mean?" Sadie asks. "When the time comes, you help them," Arthur states cryptically. "But what do you mean?" "I mean... help them escape.. When I... you know you and me... We're more than ghosts than people. But them.. They, they could.." "I know," She nods, staring at me and Jack playing around. "Of course I will. Thank you Arthur," She turns to him. "You wanna ride with me or do you wanna meet me when you can?" Arthur nods. "I'll meet you there. Elisa would be pissed if we go without her," Sadie chuckles and nods. "Alright,"
