"Wow, MK, you look kinda tired." I observed as I brought out two bowls of noodles for him and Mr. Tang.

"Oh, ya think?" Mk groaned tiredly, grabbing his bowl. "I'm fine, I just gotta close my eyes for... a couple of sec...onds..."

And just like that, his head collapsed into the bowl, and his snores caused the broth to bubble. I winced at the sight, while Mr. Tang just sighed and used his chopsticks to move MK's face out of the bowl.

"Seriously, you're pushing yourself too hard, MK. Working all day, partying all night, painting... boats?" Tang shook his head. "It's not good for a growing boy like you."

It was MK's turn to sigh. "I just... I don't wanna let my friends down, you know? Like, I want to help out in the store, do arts and crafts with Sandy, and party with M-M-M-MEI! MEI, MEIIIIII!" He said the last part like one of those party dudes on TV.

I shook my head. "I agree with Mr. Tang. If you keep this up, your body is eventually gonna crash! And that sure as heck won't be good." I walked out from behind the counter and patted MK on the shoulder.

"Now, I gotta go and buy some more ingredients for Pigsy. In the meantime, take a little break will ya?" I shook my head and walked out of the shop towards the store.

When I got back, MK was nowhere to be seen. Only Mr. Tang was at the counter, reading one of his books he loved so much. After I put away all the ingredients in their correct place (I think) I joined Mr. Tang at the counter.

"Soooo, he's gone and resumed work already?" I asked him, making him jump and look nervous for some reason.

"Uh, yup! Ha ha! Everything's normal! You know MK, always the one to push through!" He chuckled nervously. I raised a brow.

"Uh, is there something wrong, Mr. Tang? You look... nervous."

"Nervous? Me?"

I frowned. "Okay, what's up?"

Tang looked at me, then sighed. "Okay, so uh, you know how Monkey King can clone himself as one of his 72 transformations?" He asked. I shrugged. I haven't really spent too much time learning about the Monkey King, despite the fact that he literally trapped my father under a mountain.

"Welllll, I kinda, sorta, gaveMKtheideathatheshouldclonehimselftohelpwithhisproblem???" He spoke pretty fast, but I could make out enough.

"Uhm, what?! Have you ever watched TV?! This sorta thing always causes some of the worst problems!! Have you told Pigsy?!" I asked. Mr. Tang looked at me in disbelief.

"Are you kidding?! He'd flip if he were to find out! No way we're gonna tell him!" He shook his head, and turned back to his empty bowl. "And anyway, I see no reason to worry. As long as things get done until MK decides to get back at it, we should be okay!"

I frowned, unsure. Finally, I sighed and just went back to work, hoping nothing would go wrong.

Spoiler alert: things went wrong. Really wrong.

~~~
It was a couple days after MK cloned himself. I didn't realize how many clones he made, nor how he did it. I did notice MK, the original MK I hoped, losing hair by the day though.
The day started off pretty normal. I got up, got dressed, and arrived at work. That's when it began to go downhill.
"Order up!" Pigsy shouted, handing me the noodles to bag. That's when his phone rang. I walked away to bag the noodles.
"Thanks for calling Pigsy's, home of the longest-" Pigsy's cheerfulness slipped into confusion when aggravated chattering from the customer from the other end of the line.
"It didn't arrive?" He questioned. "Hold on. I've got another call. What? He didn't deliver it? What do you mean he didn't deliver it?!" I slipped away next to Tang to avoid his wrath. When I turned to look to the side, I shrieked and toppled out of the seat.
"Any more orders?"
Pigsy turned around. "MK! Care to explain-" He stopped dead in his tracks when his eyes landed on MK's clone. He let out a shout and stumbled back.
"Uhhhh... something the matter, boss?" The, uhm, larger MK clone asked. I turned and glared at Mr. Tang. He looked back at me, sweatdropping.
"Well, don't blame me-!"
"I blame you." I pointed a finger at him. He flinched. After a couple minutes, Pigsy was trying to wrestle a bowl of noodles out of the clone's hands.
"MK! STOP EATING! I'M HEMORRHAGING MONEY BY THE BOWL!" Pigsy shouted, punching and kicking at the clone to no avail.
Just then, the real MK walked in with headphones on. I irked, and Mr. Tang nearly choked on his noodles. The guy was half-bald. Pigsy noticed him walk in.
"MK?" He looked at the clone, then the real MK. Then his gaze hardened.
"Let me guess. This is some sorta Mystic Monkey Business." Pigsy growled. Oh, boy...
The real MK chuckled awkwardly, rubbing the back of his neck. "Uh, yeah, that about sums it up."
Pigsy gave him one of the angriest glares I've ever seen. "MKKKK!" He shouted. Just then, as if an act of attempting to spare his original, the clone MK sat up and ended up falling on top of Pigsy. I gasped dramatically.
"Oh, no! One of my father figures!" I shouted. Mr. Tang frowned.
"I thought I was your father figure?" He asked. I looked at him.
"Why do you think I said 'one of'?" I asked him. He sighed in exhaustion, and turned to MK.
"So, you gonna clean this mess up?" He asked him. Thinking for a second, MK summoned his staff and poked his clone in the side. MK groaned in frustration.
"That was never gonna work!" He turned to Mr. Tang with puppy eyes. "Mr. Tang? How did Monkie King get rid of his clones?"
"Hmmm..." Mr. Tang adjusted his glasses, and light poured in from behind, leading me to think he was going to say something super important.
"I don't know." He said finally. Me and MK groaned.
Seeing our frustration, Mr. Tang tried to help out anyway. "Maybe try some pressure points, or some wavy kung fu?" He suggested.
After trying just that, the clone exploded in a mass of blinding light and hair. Lots of hair. I jumped back in disgust. At least that was one clone down.
"Ack! Pigsy!" MK shouted in dismay.
That's when Pigsy's phone rang, showing Sandy's profile picture. MK's eyes widened slightly in realization. Not wasting another second, he grabbed my hand and sped out of the noodle shop, taking me with him to get rid of his clones. I sighed in frustration.
I was totally blaming Mr. Tang for this.
