↳ ♡₊˚. 1983 Child Vanishings

In 1983 [exact date unknown], a group of children went missing in an unknown location. One of them was later discovered traumatized and quoted as saying, "We didn't want to leave. We didn't want to kill them, but its deafening silence and outstretched arms both terrified and comforted us..." There was no other information provided.

A single photograph was extracted from the police files, which is the photograph above. The photographer's identity is unknown, and he is presumed dead.

↳ ♡₊˚.  A generalized description of Slenderman:

Appearance: Tall, thin humanoid with indistinct features, with two to six boneless arms, the torso is of normal proportion, limbs lengthened to point of mild to severe deformity. Additional arms are "frequently hidden," appears to be wearing a suit (black tie, black pants, black coat, black shoes, white shirt). Eyes may or may not glow.
Habits and Habitat: Known to be predatory to humans, frequently associated with fog (Either prefers foggy areas or capable of summoning it. Unknown), frequently associated with woodland areas.
Abilities: No combat encounters, data [or] projections, strong enough to lift a fully grown man (SM165608), intelligence level unknown, capable of traveling long distances quickly without appearing to become fatigued (anecdotal), possibly amphibious (tenuous, assume true), capable of climbing with ease.

↳ ♡₊˚. 1993 Camper Massacre:

Three campers went missing in an unknown location sometime in 1993. They were later discovered, completely slaughtered. The following reports, presumably from a local newspaper, describe the events.

May 8, 1993

Today, three campers were reported missing. They'd gone on a week-long camping trip in the nearby woods. Their campsite was quickly discovered, but all that remained was "blood and little strips of flesh [...] all over the ground," according to Chad Lewis, the rescue team's leader. The team admits there "weren't any grizzly tracks we could see... just footprints, and we didn't see any dragging marks on the ground." The official speculation is that the campers were attacked by one or more grizzly bears, who then dragged the bodies elsewhere. The strange thing is that there are four sets of bootprints, but no extra boots were found in the camp." Mr. Lewis refused to answer the question of whether this was the work of a serial killer, saying, "we don't want to jump to conclusions." A camera was discovered at the scene, and police are attempting to develop the images despite film damage.

May 22, 1993

Chad Lewis' team has discovered the remains of three campers who went missing two weeks ago. "Impaled in the uppermost branches of a tree, over 200 feet above the ground," they said. A grizzly bear couldn't have done it, and there are no black bears in the area. The bodies were [...] limbs torn off, and most of the internal organs had been removed, indicating that this was not an animal. We discovered [the organs] at the base of a tree eight miles from their campsite. It appears that this was a planned murder, despite the unusual circumstances. When asked for specifics, Lewis shook his head and said, "We can't specify yet." The police are investigating. In the meantime, we're issuing a warning that people should avoid wooded areas until further notice.

May 28, 1993

In a press conference today, the local police chief revealed perplexing details about the murders of three campers. "We determined that the men died after being impaled on the upper tree branches, leading us to believe there were multiple killers, as it would be nearly impossible for one man to lift three adult men, all weighing more than 150 pounds, to the tree's top branches." However, there were no abrasion marks on the recovered arms or legs, indicating that they had been restrained beforehand. We believe they were drugged before being taken to the tree." When asked how the killers transported the victims and why they chose that specific location to murder them, the police chief stated, "There would have had to be multiple vehicles, as there were thick forests and a river between the camp and the tree." This tree may have had religious significance to the killers because there were deep gouges all over the trunk[...] like claw marks, which at one point form an image of an elongated figure of a man." According to the police report, the killings were possibly the work of a cult. They were able to recover one photograph from the camera found at the scene. Anyone with information should come forward[...].
