Jay's POV
I sat at the bar, downing drink after drink, trying to forget my girlfr- ex.
I kinda wish she just cheated on me or something but that would've been too nice. This bitch robbed me while I was on a business trip. She took all of my furniture and the money I had in my house safe which was around $9k.
The bartender brought me another drink after I finished my something-th shot.
"This is all I'm giving you tonight." they said with a bit of a worried look.
"Booo!" I said, a bit too loud, "You suck for that." I downed the drink.
"Your liver will thank me later." they said as they shook their head, chuckling lightly.
I checked the time on my watch. 00:56
Damn, it was pretty late. I called a cab before I made my way out of the club.
I stood at the pick up spot, scrolling threw my phone but not really doing anything.
"Well hello stranger." I heard a voice come up from behind me.
I turned and was met with the sight of an old college friend, Queen.
Queen's POV
"Hey. How *hiccup* you been?" she asked as she came in for a hug and nearly fell over.
Damn she is wasted
"I'm good." I said as I caught her, "I definitely can't say the same for you. Do you have a ride home?"
She nodded lazily. "I called a cab."
My face scrunched up.
"Why are you frowning pretty lady?" she asked as she booped my nose a little.
I smiled a little, blushing from the compliment but quickly turning serious.
"You can't take a cab in this state. I'll drive you home." I offered
"Nope, can't do that. I don't have any furniture." she said as she played with one of my long, honey blonde locs.
I sighed a little confused as to why she had no furniture, and also frustrated from the slight inconvenience of her drunk state.
"Okay, say what?" I began.
"What." she replied.
I giggled a bit. "I'll take you to my place. I'll get you something to eat and you can get some sleep. How does that sound?"
She pouted, pondering over my suggestion. "Do you have any furniture?"
I giggled once again. "Plenty."
She smiled innocently. "Okay then, I'm in."
I took her hand and lead her to my car. I decided to put her in the back seat just to avoid her distracting me. She was a bit of a childish drunk.
I put on some smooth R&B as I drove. Jay got really into the music, singing and dancing along.
I just enjoyed listening to her. She was still a good singer even when she was drunk.
Lately by KIRBY and BJ the Chicago Kid came on.
"Oooo this is my shit." she said getting excited.
I was already parked at my apartment building but I let her listen to the song. I took my phone out and recorded her little performance, just to show her when she's sober in the morning.
"What if we did? What if we can't? What if it is? What if it ain't?" she sang beautifully, "See you running out of time."
Damn she's good
