"I'm so sorry." Risa said and run towards the door of the church
Everyone present was shocked with what Risa did. She ran away from her own wedding chasing the 17th President of the Philippines.
"Risa!" Jomari called her but she did not turn around but instead, she made her way down the aisle to the main entrance of the church
"May kasalan pa bang magaganap?" one of their sponsors asked
Jomari kept silent since he does not know how to answer their question.
"Excuse me po." he said and went outside to chase for Risa
When Risa was finally outside, she looked for Leni and found her sitting on a bench 100 meters away from the church. She then rushed to her and hugged her from the back.
When Leni felt Risa's arms wrapped upon her, her tears fell from her eyes.
"Anong ginagawa mo rito? Tapos na ba ang kasal?" she asked Risa sobbing
"Hindi. Hindi ko kayang pakasalan si Jomari, Leonor." Risa replied still not letting go of her
"Hindi ba, siya ang pinili mo noong gabing pinapilo ka niya noon sa Malalison?" Leni asked her
"Pinili ko siya noon kasi akala ko magiging masaya ako sa kanya pero Leonor, seeing you walking out of the church earlier made me change my mind. Natakot ako, Leonor." she replied
"Bakit ka naman natakot?" Leni asked
"I cannot explain what I felt but one thing I am sure of is that I suddenly became scared of losing you when I saw you walking out of the church. Hindi ko pala kaya na matali kay Jomari at ikaw, bigla kang mawawala." Risa replied
This time, Leni turned to Risa and let her sit beside her.
"Risa, I told you that I want you to be happy." Leni told her
"I know that you want me to be happy that's why hindi ko tinuloy ang kasal kasi hindi ako masaya at alam ko na hindi ako magiging masaya kay Jomari." Risa replied
"What do you mean? Naguguluhan ako." Leni asked
"Maria Leonor, isn't it obvious? I ran away from my own wedding because you want me to be happy and I am choosing my happiness. That's why I'm choosing you." Risa replied
"Oh my Ana Theresia. Thank you for choosing me pero paano si Jomari?" Leni asked
"I'll talk to him after we have our time together. My Maria Leonor, I want to run away with you." Risa replied
"We will run away together, langga but saglit lang na run away kasi alam mo naman na may trabaho ako as president hindi ba?" Leni told her
"Kahit saglit lang at kahit saan man yan basta ikaw ang kasama ko." Risa replied
She cupped Leni's face and kissed her on the forehead and said
"I"
then she kissed her nose
"Love"
then kissed her hands
"You"
and then she paused
"Ayy, bakit diretso sa kamay yung kiss? Bakit hindi sa lips?" Leni asked her
"Keep quiet. I want to make this romantic. Panira ka." Risa replied
Leni chuckled and replied
"Sige na nga. Tatahimik na ako, langga." Leni replied
And Risa repeated what she did a while ago.
She kissed Leni's forehead and said
"I"
then she kissed her nose and said
"Love"
and then her hands and said
"You"
She paused for a while and added
"Maria Leonor." and kissed Leni on the lips
What was supposed to only be a peck on the lips turned out to become a deep kiss when Leni responded to Risa's kisses.
When their lips parted, they were both grasping for air.
"Ayy grabe ka naman. Hindi ako nakahinga." Risa complained
"Ginusto mo naman, hindi ba?" Leni asked
"Oo na. Kinikilig pa nga ako eh." Risa replied
"Ang rupok mo." Leni told her
Leni looked at Risa's eyes and said
"I am so blessed for having been chosen by the woman that I love the most. I love you so much, my Ana Theresia."
They both reached for one another and embraced each other.
"You are my universe, Maria Leonor." she whispered to her
"At ikaw ang aking tahanan, Ana Theresia." she replied
Leni let go of their embrace and faced Risa.
"Sige na, bumalik ka na sa loob at may announcement ka pa sa mga tao." Leni told her
"Eh ikaw?" she asked her
"Susunod ako, langga." Leni replied
"Sige. Sumunod ka ha." Risa said and Leni assured her that she will follow
When Risa turned around to go back to the church, she saw Jomari standing not far from them.
"Jomari." she said when she was approaching him
"Kaya ka pala tumakbo palabas kasi talagang mas pinipili mo si Leni kesa sa'kin." he said
"Jomari, I'm so sorry. Hindi ko sinasadya. I have been ignoring my feelings for her for so long dahil ayaw kong masira ang pagkakaibigan namin pero hindi ko pala kaya na mawala siya sa'kin. Kanina, noong nagtama ang mga mata namin habang naglalakad ako patungo sa'yo, nasaktan ako, na-guilty ako kasi sinaktan ko yung babaeng mahal ko dahil magpapakasal ako sa'yo and when you wholeheartedly said I do when you were asked by tito, na-guilty rin ako dahil niloloko kita. I cannot spend the rest of my life with you knowing that I am deeply, madly in love with someone else. You don't deserve me, Jomari. Your love is so pure and so genuine and I do not deserve that kasi hindi ko kailanman masusuklian ang pagmamahal na iniaalay mo." Risa replied
"Hindi mo ba ako minahal sa loob ng tatlong taon na naging tayo?" Jomari asked
"I did love you, believe me but it was not that intense and deep like how I love Leni. I'm really sorry, Jomari but I want us to end this relationship, right here, right now." Risa replied
"Risa, I love you. I have always loved you. Please give me another chance and I will pursue you. I will make you see that I am worth the risk." Jomari replied
"No Jomari, please don't. I am not worth the risk." Risa said and excused herself
She went inside the church and waited for Leni to come inside and then she made the announcement.
"I'm really sorry for the commotion earlier and for running away. I just realized that I cannot tie the knot with Jomari if I am not yet ready to do so and if I know that I will not be happy for the rest of my life. I'm so sorry but wala na pong kasalan na magaganap. Our reception is still open, you can still have your lunch there but it will only be a luncheon and not a party anymore. I realized that I have always been telling mg children to follow their bliss, and it's my turn to follow my own bliss." Risa announced
"Jomari and I have already parted ways a while ago. Jomari, I'm so sorry but you deserve someone who will give you the same energy that you are giving out and that someone is not me." Risa added
She walked out of the church and was followed by Leni. They went inside Leni's van and they ran away together, to a place only they know.
