Leni arrived in Boston after a 30 hour flight from Manila. Upon arriving at the airport, she was welcomed by so many Filipino supporters at the airport. From the airport, she directly went to Tricia's apartment in Boston near Harvard to settle down.
When Leni arrived at the apartment where Tricia is residing, she did not find her second daughter there since she is having her classes in Harvard but she did found a cute welcome gift for her on the table.
When she was already settled, she first face-timed Risa. The latter who is already in bed answered her call.
"Hello, ga. Sorry for disturbing you. Are you asleep na ba?" she greeted her
"Hi, langga! Not yet. I was actually waiting for you to call. Nasa apartment ka na ba?" Risa asked
"Yes, ga. Nandito na'ko sa apartment yun nga lang eh wala rito si Tricia gawa ng may class siya." Leni replied
"So, how was the flight? Ga, you better rest kasi I know na pagod ka sa biyahe and probably you are jet-lagged." Risa told her
"Ga, I'm fine. I had a lot of rest during the flight. Ang haba rin noon kaya hindi na rin ako magpapahinga." Leni responded
"Okay. If that's what you are saying, ikaw bahala basta take good care of yourself there in Boston." Risa reminded her
"You do not need to worry about me, ga. Okay lang ako rito. Ikaw, you take care of yourself diyan sa Pinas." Leni replied and reminded her as well
"By the way ga, what are you going to do after mo mag-ayos ng gamit?" Risa asked her
"Lalabas muna ako para maglakad-lakad, ga. The weather is nice here today." Leni responded sharing her plan for the day with her partner
"That is so nice to hear, ga. Mag-iingat ka sa labas ha? Presidente ka pa naman, baka dumugin ka ng mga tao." Risa reminded her
"Opo, ga. Mag-iingat po pero huwag kang mag-alala at walang mag-iinteres sa'kin. Sige na ga, matulog ka na at maaga ka pa bukas for your work sa senate." Leni told Risa
"Oo na po, mahal. Magpapahinga na po." Risa responded
"Good night, my langga. I love you." Leni said and bid goodbye to her partner
"Have a great day in Boston, mahal. I love you more." Risa responded and they ended the call
When the call ended, Risa went to sleep while Leni called her daughters on their viber chat.
"Good Morning, ma! Welcome again to Boston!" Jill greeted
"Hello, ma! How was your flight?" Aika asked
"Hello, ma! Grabe talaga, pinatulog muna ang baby niyang pa-Senior na." Jorge jested
"Jorge!" Jill and Aika called their youngest sister out
"Joke lang naman po yun, ma, ates. Alam ko naman po na one of mama's priorities ay si Mama Sen." Jorge answered
"Anyways, bago niyo ko gisahin, how was your flight, ma?" Jorge asked Leni
"Thank you, girls. Maayos naman ang flight ko. Medyo nakapagpahinga naman and we landed safely sa airport. Isa pa pala, tama ka naman, bunso. Natulog na ang Tita Sen ninyo kasi maaga pa siya bukas sa senado." Leni responded
Leni turned to her third daughter.
"How was your work, Jill, anak?" Leni asked her
"I'm enjoying my work naman po ma and I am currently on break." Jillian responded
"Ikaw naman, Aiks. How is your work at Ateneo today?" Leni asked her eldest daughter
"It's good naman, ma. My students asked me to send their greetings and congratulations for your Havard fellowship." Aika responded to her mom's question
"Pakisabi sa kanila, salamat, anak. Thank you, Aika and Jill." Leni thanked her 2 daughters and asked her youngest
"Ikaw naman, Jorge. How was school today, anak?" l
"It was very good, ma. We had a quiz on the Constituion and I got the highest score." Jorge responded
"Wow! That's very good, bunso. How many mistakes?" Leni probed
"I got a perfect score, ma." Jorge responded, a bit shy
"Wow! Congratulations, anak! This should be celebrated. So what did Ate Aiks cooked for you?" Leni asked again
"We celebrated and went out for dinner, ma. We invited Dea and Anje." Jorge responded
"And I bought her a cake, ma. She said she wanted a blueberry cheesecake." Aika responded
"Hala, Ate Aiks. Pa-send po sa viber chat natin. Nagki-crave pa naman ako." Jill said
"Sige. Saglit lang at sisend ko." Aika told her younger sister and sent a photo of the cake on their viber chat
"HAHAHA. Thanks, Ate!" Jill thanked her sister, laughing because Aika really did send a photo of the cake even though she was just joking
"Anyways, mama, Ate Aiks, and Jorge, balik na po ako sa work. Bye! I love you." Jill bid her good byes and went back to work
"Nag-enjoy ka naman ba sa dinner ninyo?" Leni asked Jorge
"Yes po, ma. Nagulat nga po ako na nag-aya si Ate Aiks eh. Sa kuripot ba naman nito." Jorge responded
"Nag-aya ako kasi it really calls for a celebration. Perfect score ba naman sa quiz sa Constitution." Aika defended herself
"Pag talaga kay bunso, walang makakatiis eh." Leni said in jest
"Eh siya na po ang paboritong anak eh." Aika said and they all laughed
"Sige na mga aki. Alam kong malalim na ang gabi at maaga pa kayo bukas. Lagpas na rin ngayon sa bedtime ninyo." Leni told Aika and Jorge
"Kaya nga po ma. Kayo rin po, baka may pupuntahan pa kayo." Aika told her mom
"Good night, mama. I love you." Jorge said and bid her mom good bye
Aika did the same and they ended the call and after that, the two went to sleep.
After calling her daughters, Leni went to freshen up and went out for a walk.
While strolling the streets of Boston, Leni bumped on a fellow Filipino who also happens to be a supporter of hers.
"Hi, ma'am. I am Ramon and I voted for you during the elections." the old man introduced himself
"Good Morning po. Nice to meet you po and thank you po sa suporta." Leni responded
"Madam President, can I invite you for lunch now? There is a nearby restaurant. That is if it is okay with you, ma'am." Ramon asked the President
"Oo naman po. Maraming salamat po sa imbitasyon." Leni responded and they went to the restaurant that Ramon is talking about and ate their lunch
While they were eating, the old man cannot contain the happiness that he is feeling. For him, it feels surreal that he is given an opportunity to dine with the President herself.
"Ma'am, maraming salamat po sa pagpapaunlak ng imbitasyon ko for lunch. I feel so lucky to dine with our country's president." he told her
"Ako po dapat ang magpapasalamat sa inyo for inviting me." Leni responded
Before they parted ways, he told her
"The Philippines is so lucky to have a president like you. We are so happy to have you as our president."
