"We did everything we could, Fey. He was only getting worse. At least he's in a better place," I said with a sad face while placing a hand on her shoulder.
"Janson," Newt started, and Fey stiffened. He continued cautiously, "Janson told us that some of us were immune to the virus that makes people into cranks. So for now, we need to assume that none of us are immune."
"Newt's right," Alby said.
"I just have a question, who's that?" Thomas asked pointing to Uncle Phil.
"I have a better question, what's that?" Fey asked, pointing to a city in the distance while whipping her tear stand face.
"Looks like a city, let's check it out," Thomas said.
"Oh, not so fast buddy. Remember what happened last time?" He nodded, "Let's be a little more cautious, as we did just lose one of our own," I said.
"Tigris is right. I'm her and Newt's Uncle Phil by the way," Phil said. I smacked him in the back of the head. He mouthed 'oww' then I gave him a death glare.
"What?! Oh, did you know that you act like your dad sometimes," Uncle Phil said, I was about to reply when Fey collapsed. Newt picked her up and I noticed that we were almost inside the city.
"Let's get her out of the sun," I said.
"Good idea, let's be cautious though," Newt said. We walked inside and stopped right over the threshold. Daniel knocked something over by accident, and Cranks came out of nowhere. I had my bow at the ready. When they were within 3 feet of us, they stopped short, trying to reach us. I noticed they had been chained. A woman who looked like she was in her early 20's walked out I pointed my bow at her.
"They're like our guard dogs. I'm Brenda by the way. Oh and you can put the bow down now," she said and beckoned for us to follow. As I slowly put my bow down.
"Do you guys know anything about the Right Arm?" Thomas asked.
"Jorge might," she said, and we followed.
"We need to get there as soon as possible. Because I am afraid that we won't last long out there," I said. Brenda glanced over at Fey, who was asleep in Newt's arms. He shifted a bit and a piece of hair fell away from her face, revealing the scar that Janson had inflicted on her. Brenda led us to the top floor. Jorge looked to be in his late 30's, early 40's.
When we told him about needing to find the Right Arm he just said, "I'm sorry hermanos, but I can't help you." He motioned at the guys close to us and they moved closer.
"Did you just say HERMANOS?!" Daniel asked. Jorge looked shocked and confused.
"Yes," he finally said.
"My cousin speaks whatever language that is, but she's currently asleep right now!" Daniel continued. The guys around us moved in closer. I was aware of their every move but my eyes were on Jorge.
"I suggest that you have your men move," I said getting ready to fight them with all I have.
"I'm afraid I can't do that" Jorge said, and the guys moved in, tackling us, dragging us, and finally chaining us over a giant hole, the bottom floor visible. It took about 30 guys to get me down and chained I am a tiger after all.
"Bad move on your part," I said with a cheeky grin. Fey choose that moment to wake up. "ALGUIEN DIME QUE ESTA PASANDO AHORA MISMO!" We had to calm her down and explain everything to her.
"Let's show them how you and I get out of these chains, huh?" I asked Fey being tired of being upside down.
"Okay," she sighed. She wiggled for a moment and fell, but caught herself on the edge of the chain, wrapping it around her wrist. I pulled my wings out and busted mine into pieces. I flew over, grabbed Fey, and placed her on the ground where she pulled a katana out of nowhere, holding it up to Jorge. I went over to the others and helped them out. Jorge was shocked, well more than shocked, at how we were able to do that.
