"Don't melt on me Fey," I joked.

"You know, some people are worth melting for," she said in a dreamy voice, staring at Newt. I slapped her on the back of the head, getting an 'ow' in response.

"You ready for the second watch Newt?" I asked.

"Not really but I'll do it. I tried to wake up Thomas but nothing happed," Newt said.

"That's okay I'll stay up with you for the next hour," I said.

"Tigris, you made a promise to not do that," Fey complained.

"You know where leadership is so don't complain. We're on a mission to get Minho back and if that means I have to stay up late then I will," I said.

"It's best not to do anything to make her upset right now Fey. She needs to know that we can trust her judgment," Newt said, Fey nodded.

"Scivoloso, look I want to trust you right now but the time you came was bad. Please don't take this personally. But if you know anything about me and where my trust lies then leave." I said as politely as possible, "We're in a middle of a mission right now. So that's why I'm asking you to leave."

"Wow, you became stubborn over the years haven't you? I'm quite surprised," Scivoloso said to me in a tone of voice that reminded me of Janson. To the point of my eye twitching.

"Umm, Uncle Scivoloso, you shouldn't have said that. She's been through a lot and it looks like she's going to kill you," Fey said, scared for her uncle.

"I'm not scared of her, last time I checked she couldn't quite lift me," Scivoloso said. My eyes turned a bright yellow and roared loudly "ROARRRRRRRRR". It's a good thing that I made the tents so no one would hear my roar. Unless it was purposely to wake them up.

"I have gotten stronger since then. So please for your safety and everyone else, Leave," I said.

"Well, I want to be with my nie-" Scivoloso started.

"No, you are not you can do that later. I don't need someone like you coming and prancing around doing nothing. Now leave before I lose it completely and they can't hold me back to protect you," I said pointing to Newt and Fey. I was getting angrier the longer he stays. Newt and Fey looked scared and I felt how scared they were. I was able to calm down just a tiny bit but not enough to notice.

"Per favore, ora non è il momento," Fey said gathering up the courage to speak, and he left. She groaned.

"Why are all my family members so stubborn and stupid!?" she yelled into the night. I felt her frustration wash over me. Newt pulled her closer to him and she broke down, sobbing.

"Newt, take Fey to bed, I can take it from here," I said nodding to him.

"You sure sis?" Newt asked, worried for me.

"I'm sure little bro. If I wasn't then I wouldn't have said anything," I said waving them off.

Once gone I whispered to myself, "And so it begins."

-an hour later-

"Tigris, I have some news," Dad said from beside me.

I looked over at him and asked, "What do you mean?"

"Tigris dear you're pregnant with a baby girl," dad said I just gave him a look of shock.

"Y-you mean?" I said.

"Yes tiger cub you'll have a cub of your own," dad replied.

"I can't believe it." I laughed, "I'm pregnant."

"You can tell the others if you want," dad said.

"No I can't it's too early to tell dad. Don't worry I'll make sure we take more breaks," I said, he nodded and left.

But as the night dragged on everyone tried to get me to sleep but it was useless. I can't sleep when angry and if I do I end up in a cold sweat from nightmares. More or less dreams filled with Janson's face taunting and torturing me.

-That morning-

"Tigris?" Alby asked confused.

"Hey, Alby, and yes I stayed up all night last night," I said.

"She wouldn't listen to our protests," Fey said, her and Newt walking up. She was rubbing her eyes.

"Scivoloso, Fey's uncle, came last night. He denied orders, I got mad and I couldn't sleep afterward," I said.

"Umm, Tigris?" Fey asked.

"What?" I asked.

"He's not a Guardian," she said slowly. "So he technically didn't have to follow orders."

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME SOONER!!!!" I yelled, "That would have saved me some sleep. So this one is on you!" I looked at her mad. She seemed to shrink under my stare.

"Mi spiace," she said in a small voice.

"Fey, English please?" I asked calmly pinching the brig of my nose.

"I'm sorry. Although it is going to be easier without any distractions," she said.

"But it would have been nice to know before I yelled at him," I said.

"Oh, he forgives you, he knows the pressure you're in," she said. "Would it be okay if I told you a story?"

"I don't see why not, but you have to tell me while I make breakfast. You should also know that having you around is stressful enough as it is. But pile it on top of being a leader and a high-level mission makes it a lot worse," I said muttering the last two sentences and getting ready to cook.

"Would you like me to help?" she asked.

"I need some fish as the boys need some meat," I said then I realized what I said.

"Sorry," I apologized, but Fey was roaring with laughter. I looked at her confused with my head to the side.

"As much as everyone would like to think, I'm not half fish," she said, wiping tears from her face. "Mer are their own species, and although we look like fish, our scales are made of different substances. Thank you for the concern though." I nodded in understanding. Fey leaned in to whisper something to me.

"We actually eat fish," she said, barely concealing her grin. "All right, storytime."

"I swear, if I stayed the same when we were younger then I would be like Fey," I whispered to Alby but loud enough for Fey to hear.

"Hey!" she yelled. When I got the fish descaled and gutted. I started to cook the fish with butter, lemon, and pepper in a banana leaf. I also got some rice so it can soak up any extra oil on the fish, "Anyway, when my mother and uncle were about our ages, they had a brother."

"Had?" Alby interrupted. She stared at him, her expression showing that she wasn't impressed.

"Sorry, sorry I'll shut up," he apologized putting his hands in the air.
