3rd Person's POV

Toby was numb. He killed George and Wilbur. There was no way they lived. Quackity returned alone and was covered in 2nd degree burns and was on death's door.

Wilbur and George weren't the best people to him, but they were definitely not the worst. It's one thing to kill bad people like Punz. It's another to kill people like Tommy, George, and Wilbur.

Tubbo still hasn't had time to calculate if Tommy was dead. Ranboo got him out quickly, but he definitely would have some major head trauma.

The look Ranboo gave him as he grabbed Tommy would haunt Tubbo to the grave .It was a look of hatred mixed with disbelief and betrayal. Ranboo looked like he couldn't recognize Tubbo anymore. Ranboo who always treated Tubbo with kindness from the depths of his heart.

Tubbo was brought down at the realization of what he had done. He killed his older brother. He killed two 17 year olds. They would never graduate, go to college, get married, and have children. He ripped away their futures and buried them in the ground with their corpses.

George and Wilbur both were getting ready for their senior year and they had colleges lining up for them. Niki, Will, Techno, and George, all had planned to go to college together. They already had a flat picked out that wasn't too far away in a nearby city.

Tubbo would never see their funeral or know where they are buried. He would never get to hear Wilbur laugh again or see George get his shit rocked when he would duel Techno or Dream or anyone who was good at close combat.

Tubbo gave a weak laugh at the bittersweet thoughts. He had tears running down his face but he didn't care. He had no right to grieve in front of his dad's for killing people, so he would do it alone.

He knows that he isn't meant to feel sympathy for them, but even if Wilbur did all the bad stuff Quackity said he did, he was still his brother. Wilbur had helped raise him. Wilbur was the first one to warm up to Tubbo and welcome him in with open arms.

Wilbur and Techno never treated him differently despite the fact that they knew that Tubbo wasn't their brother and just some kid that Phil had brought home.

When Tubbo found himself face to face with Techno, every move that Techno made on him was never instead to kill him. They were well calculated moves to get him on the ground. He was trying to detain Tubbo more than anyone who he fought today.

The only mark on him from Techno is some bruises and sore spots from where Techno hit him with the flat of his blade. When Techno had him pinned for a moment. There was almost no emotion in Techno's dark brown eyes except betrayal and sympathy

There was no anger fueling Techno's fight. He looked at Tubbo with kind eyes silently offering to get Tubbo out of there and bring him home. He killed Techno's twin when Techno himself didn't dare to swipe his sword at Tubbo who was trying to kill Tommy.

He killed Techno's other half. Those eyes that meant him with kindness belonged to someone else who was probably laying in a coffin now. Will's soft brown eyes were dull and lifeless, because of Tubbo. If Techno was trying to kill Tubbo, Tubbo wouldn't be here to be griefing.

George and Tubbo didn't interact much, but when Tubbo forgot his lunch George had gone and bought a lunch and then let Tubbo pick if he wanted the cafeteria food or the lunch George brought from home.

George would make sure he didn't feel left out and he would always jokily fuck with Tubbo by making it seem like there was bunch of bees nearby and when he turned to look for them, George would make them disappear.

The same George who Tubbo heard scream as he had escaped to the roof. The scream he assumed was someone below him and not next to him. The scream that gave Tubbo goosebumps, because he knew deep down that it wasn't from below him and was too painful for someone he had injured on the second floor.

If Tubbo went back in time would he do it differently? Yes he would, but he couldn't time travel. He would have controlled his power better. He wouldn't have made the blast so big. He doesn't even know if he would attack Punz again.

Punz may have been an ass to him, but his screams still haunted Tubbo. Nobody deserved the cruel death Will got and what he tried to give to Punz. When he had been taught to kill people, they never begged. They didn't scream. They had accepted their fate and closed their eyes.

Tubbo felt torn. What he did wasn't right, but what choice did he have? His dads told him to do so he did. They said to cause a distraction and show no mercy. He did! So why does he feel like curling up in a ball and crying?

He had read about the five stages of grief, after he heard Wilbur write a song about them. He knew he was going through them.

The first stage is denial. He was so sure in the helicopter that Quackity was fine and would come out with George and Will. He didn't. Along with denial comes isolation. When he got here the first thing he did was shut himself in his room.

The second stage is anger. The torn up guest bedroom around him told him that he had gone through that. He had punched a wall to try to feel something and all he did was hurt his hand instead of getting rid of his anger.

The third was bargaining. His idea of going back and doing it differently told him that this was probably going to be the hardest stage for him.

He had cried , and he guesses that's close enough to the depression stage.

So why?

Why has he gone through the whole cycle and not reached the fifth stage? Why can't he accept that what happened was his fault and get over it? He knew what could have happened and he did. And for what a little pat on the shoulder or two sorry ass words from his dad!

He killed two people who haven't even lived their lives yet for a little bit of love that he used to receive on the daily. Why had he been so ignorant? Why did he have to kill someone who mattered to him for his eyes to be opened? His dad was a bad man. The plan he followed through was devised from the mind of a mad man!

The worst part was that George and Wilbur aren't even the first people he killed. They are two in a list of a hundred people. Why did this hurt so bad if he has done it before? He definitely has killed teens who Quackity picked off the streets.

He didn't understand what he was feeling or why he was feeling it.

He was in the wrong and there was nothing he could do. So he did the one thing he was taught as a child. Accept your mistakes and learn from them. His dad was a bad guy and so was he. So what is he going to do about it?

There were only two main things Tubbo got out of that entire interaction. One. There are innocent people who are unknowingly on the wrong side.

Two.

If he was going to be treated like a villain.

Then he was going to be so much worse.

Not everybody can be a hero.

And Tubbo was no exception.
