Chapter 17

Tubbo's POV

I woke up in Sapnap's room to hysterical sobbing. Sapnap is sitting in the corner of the room curled up in a ball.

I quickly jump out of bed and grab a hand towel. I walk calmly to Sapnap and sit down. He is sitting by a package.

He looks up at me terrified. I grab the towel and wipe his tears. He is clutching three items.

An envelope, some glasses with white frames and black lenses, and a porcelain white mask.

The glasses and mask are cracked and covered in blood.

They seem to have a huge significance to Sap, because he is holding onto them like his life depends on it.

I look into the package and at the bottom of it are 2 bracelets. There is an orange and green one and a blue and orange one.

I look over at Sapnap who has a green and blue bracelet on his wrist.

Holy shit.

No wonder Sapnap is freaking out. The green and orange bracelet is George's. The orange and blue is Dream's.

I can't imagine how someone got these.

"Is that Dream's and George's?" I point to the glasses and mask.

He gives a small nod and holds onto the items tighter.

"Someone left this at the door here. I don't think they knew you were in here too." He tries to calmly speak. "Tubbo. I'm 14 and I'm trapped here. My brothers are in danger and I'm useless."

I forget sometimes that Sap is not that much older than me. He acts like he is older. He has a decent control on his powers and it makes him seem like he could be as old as Techno and Wilbur.

He used to light up a room when he walked in and was always confident. Sapnap could lift up Dream like it was nothing.

The boy in front of me is covered in burns and has tear streaks forever burned onto his cheeks. He has dull eyes and looks like he needs a hug and food. His ribs are clearly visible along with his dark eye bags.

It's about 3am.

"What if we escaped?" He glanced up and there was a small gleam of hope in his eyes.

"Tubbo. There is security everywhere. It's a small chance." He mumbled. His voice strained from not talking a lot.

"It's still a chance for you to go home."

He seemed to have considered it before deciding.

"I guess, it's worth a try." I smile and pull him up.

He grabs the bracelets, mask, and glasses before putting on a black cloak.

He hands me one too and I quickly slip it on. We walked to the window in his room. The moon is full so we can see the ground 100 feet below us.

"Trust me." Sapnap says before grabbing my hand and smashing the window with his elbow. He jumps out the shattered window and lets go of my hand. He lands in an outdoor pool.

He is grinning like a mad man. I can see him telling me to jump and that he will catch me.

I smile and take a step back. I ran full speed jumping out the window.

When I was about to start to fall a hand yanked the back of my shirt choking me and also preventing me from escaping.

They were too late to pull me back in the room, but the shift of momentum made me fall backwards and hit my head against the brick wall with the hand keeping me from falling onto the concrete.

I look down at Sapnap who is out of the pool staring at me. I can't see his face, but I can tell he doesn't know what to do.

"GO! DON'T COME BACK FOR ME!" I yell as loud as I can which is hard since my shirt is choking me.

He turns around and runs as fast as he can into the forest. I smile before I get pulled up by the back of my shirt.

I get pulled up with so much force I fall onto the ground. Next to me is Quackity who seems to be out of breath. He is laying on top of dandelion yellow wings. That's how he grabbed me out of the air.

"What the hell were you doing!" He yells at me. His hand is covered in blood from the glass.

I don't meet his eyes, because if I do I will end up smiling. Sapnap is gone and he is gonna be safe.

I've grown to like it here. I get all the attention I want from Dad. They love me and I love them.

Quackity glances around the room and his eyes widened when he realized.

Dad burst through the door. His eyes glance around the room from the package to the empty bed to the broken window and to Alex who's wings and hand are bleeding and finally to me.

He puts it together quickly and his look of confusion turns into one of fury.

"What the hell happened here?!" He says not quite yelling but close.

Quackity looks terrified and wraps his wings around himself.

"I came in here and I saw Toby running getting ready to jump out the window. I tried to grab him, but he was already out the window, so I had to fly to catch him. He yelled at someone wearing black to run and not come back." Alex shakily says. His wings wrap tighter around him as he talks.

I look at Schlatt who seems to be studying me.

"We'll replace the windows with bulletproof glass and set up more security around the mansion, but first Duckling you and Toby need to get bandaged up."

He walks into the bathroom and grabs a first aid kit. He comes back and gently cleans our cuts and bandages them up.

He had to fight Padre's wing since they kept moving when he tried to remove the glass shards.

He bandaged my head which was bleeding from hitting the wall.

He then puts me on his back and holds Padre's hands back to their room.

They don't want me to try anything so I have to sleep in their room tonight.

I don't mind.
