Ch.13 A sweet trap

As the gang continued their journey, they all caught a scent of something sweet.

"You guys smell that?" Kitty asked.

"Yeah" they all said.

"Smells like, cake" Bunny said as she sniffed the air.

"Man cake sounds good right now" Dina said.

"But where's that coming from?" Tammy asked as they followed the sweet scent. They then found a full chocolate cake with chocolate frosting and decorated with strawberries on top resting on a tree stump.

"Oo yummy" Maddie said as she tried to get the cake.

"Maddie wait!" Alistair grabbed her wrist before she could reach for the cake "This could be a trap".

"A trap?" Maddie said.

"I mean, why would there be a cake out here?" Alistair questioned "This cake is probably bait for us to walk into a trap".

Everyone looked around for anything suspicious about the trap.

"Maybe Alistair's right" Cari said "We shouldn't touch this cake".

"But it looks so good" Tony whined.

"I know" Tammy agreed "But what if it is a trap?"

"Let's just go another way and forget this" Bunny suggested as they all went back, but Tony stayed behind and gazed at the cake. He looked the chocolate frosting and the sweet strawberries, he licked his lips and imagined the taste in his mouth, he felt his stomach growling for it. The sweet chocolate taste.

Ok you're making me hungry now

Tony couldn't handle not getting the cake, he then felt himself going to the cake.

"Tony!" Tammy yelled. But he just ignored her, he then swiped his finger on the frosting and licked it off, tasting the nice sweet chocolate around his mouth.

"Tony!" everyone screamed expecting the trap to happen, but nothing did happen.

"Was I wrong?" Alistair asked.

"I'm not sure" Cari said as she looked around for incoming attacks.

"I don't care I'm taking this" Tony said as he picked up the cake on it's plate. But at that point, an arrow was shot into the tree stump, everyone looked up and saw the Cupid doll flapping her wings in the sky with her bow and arrows in her hands, she then aimed another arrow at them and fired, but they quickly moved as the arrow hit the ground.

"I knew this was a trap!" Alistair said as they turned around to run, but they were blocked by the Ginger doll who held a butcher knife, and by the Melody doll who had what appeared to be razor sharp CDs. The Melody doll then threw a disc like a frisbee at the gang, but they moved out of the way. They tried to escape but the dolls had surrounded them and they got out their weapons.

"Nice going Tony!" Tammy said "If you wouldn't of touch the cake this wouldn't of happened!"

"It looks delicious!" Tony said as he still held onto the cake

"Well now we gotta get rid of these" Alistair said as he aimed his sword at the Ginger doll, who still smelled like ginger. The Cupid doll then fired another arrow, but Tammy whacked it away with her flamingo mallet. The Ginger doll then came towards Maddie and held up her knife, but Maddie blocked it with her Vorpal blade and pushed the Ginger doll back. The Melody doll then threw another razor disc, it missed them but it gave a cut on Lizzie's arm.

"Ow!" Lizzie yelled as she clutched her arm, she then turned to the Melody doll "All right, you wanna play? Let's play!" Lizzie used her hobby horse to whack the doll's head off, the body then fell to the ground.
