Kai's POV
We finally made it to the top of the exit and we walked out to the chill air of the night.
"You sure you want to do this?" Talon asked again. I nodded my head. "If I don't then there's a chance I may never be able to be normal again...no matter how much fun being different was." I said.
"You have your dragon...at least that what your team? friends? Brothers? Say." "There's my Brothers." I said.
"I just hope they forgive me." I added. "With your backwards legs, long snout, and almost tail? I think they'll like to have you back to normal." She said.
"Although I liked that I could be my own person. I wasn't Kai the fire ninja that's part of the team with the great green ninja, the half earth ninja ghost thing guy, the ninjrode, the previous water ninja that is the savour of the city, and...Jay the favourite. I liked being Kai: His own person." I explained. Talon chuckled.
"You've made my visit worth risking staying. You've changed me...you know." She said grabbing my hand.
"I just wish I could stay here..with you a bit longer." She said. We where facing the moon off the edge of the building.
"Any more things I should know about you." I asked her. "Just that you need to stay still while I remove the scales." She said. I looked at her.
"Because they have been in there long enough to change you, they need to be removed carefully or they may not be able to be removed." She explained.
"And you didn't care to tell me about this?" I chuckled.
"I hoped....I wouldn't have to." She admitted. "Well get it over with." I said in a somber tone.
"Then you can take me back to your parents and I can thank them for these." She said handing me the small bag of tea leafs.
"That's a deal." I said. She smiled. She placed the bag into my hands and kept them there.
I took them and hugged her. "We'll meet again." I whispered into her ear. "That's a promise." I said.
She nodded and sniffed a tear away. I then turned so the side where the scales where imbedded was facing her.
"You ready?" She asked one last time. I sighed. "Definitely." I said. She rose her hand up to my neck.
It wasn't touching my neck but it was near it. "It may hurt a bit...I don't know what it would feel like." She said.
"I can take the pain." I said. She nodded. She then started almost pulling her hand away.
Accept it was like she was pulling something out of my neck.
I could feel the force of something moving in my neck. It didn't hurt it just felt weird. "This is a lot harder then I thought." Talon said in a struggled voice.
She moved her hand in a circular motion like she was wrapping her hands around a rope.
"I think I can see there glow." She said.
A moment later a large blur flew right beside me and it hit her hand. "AHHH!!" She screamed falling from the force of the blast.
The scales I could feel now. But they felt like they stabbed through my neck. All the way through.
I grabbed it and held my neck from the pain of the scales re placing themselves back into place.
"TALON!" I called to her. "I'm good." She said. I knelt down beside her and helped her to a sitting position.
"The scales.." She coughed. The force must have winded her. I looked down at her hand it is was kinda bloody and looked mangled.
I stood up and turned to where the blast came from. My neck no longer hurt so I brought my hands down.
I could feel my claws brake through the tips of my gloves and my eyes seamed to adjust to the darkness.
What I saw was my old team. Zane, Pixal, Jay, Cole, and Lloyd who had his energy blast loaded and glowing.
"KAI!? CAN YOU HEAR US?" Jay yelled.
I growled under my breath. I felt something to my hand and it was Talon's knife. "Just in case." She said. I looked at the knife. I didn't want to use it but I kept it with me.
They could see me and I knew that. Zane especially.
"The scales...they need to be removed Kai." Talon said still gasping a bit. "I know I know...give me a moment." I said.
I stepped forward so there was a bit of a distance from me and Talon.
"Kai your ok." Cole called. "She was brainwashing you." Jay called.
"Are you stupid?" I called to them with a harsh voice. "Kai your not thinking straight." Lloyd said stepping forward. We where still around 10 feet away but I could see his green eyes in the dark.
"I'm think straight..." I said. I stood to my fullest hight which now which my legs was around half a foot taller then Lloyd. He took a step back.
"Kai are you alright?" Zane asked. I now could see my mouth area was much longer. "The scales." It finally clicked.
The scales had fully fused when Lloyd shot that blast. "Scales?" Pixal questioned.
I didn't know what to think or say.
I was fully a dragon born.
No way to change or fix it.
The scales where now part of me.
"Kai?" Talon's voice echoed in my ears.
"Kai come with us." Lloyd said. "You might just look like that because your around her." Cole said.
"Wu can change you back. Right Zane?" Jay said looking at him. "There must be a way." Zane concluded.
"Well unlucky for you." I started which caught there attention. "There is no way to change me back." I finished.
I turned back and started back for Talon. "You where saying they needed to be out at that second." I said to her. She nodded as I helped her up.
I was now taller then her. "We need to go." I said. She nodded.
She transformed and I looked back at my old team.
"I was gunna come back after I helped her people....but I've learned...it's hard to find people who listens to hints." I said.
I then transformed and stayed just long enough to see there reaction, which was full of what the hell.
We took off and I took the lead back to the temple.
Oooooooo team break yup ( '_ゝ')
