S.2 - 40

CHAPTER 40!!!!!!! Holy crap this story. And to think I really didn't think about the beginning but now WE HAVE A STORY!!! Thank you all for sticking with me through all of this!!

Kai's POV

We didn't sleep that night. We just planned. Planned for all scenarios. Even the one where the real Dragon Master simply just wanted dragons.

Everything from the selling of the dragons to the torture and war dragons.

We stayed up all the way to sunrise. We never really took off our clothing to get ready for any sort of sleep we could have gotten.

I found out because of our scales we could regulate our heat a bit better then a normal person.

Finally the sun was up and the city started to bustle.

We looked out the window a couple of times and almost everyone in the city had some sort of uniform on.

And the ones who didn't, had badges and were some sort of law guard.

It was around 9 when there was a knock.

We quickly pulled up my mask and Talon readied her claws.

I opened the door after we quickly hid all the supplies and scrolls.

It was Chryses. "The boss wants me for a mission so you two have the time to move around the city. Here's a map incase you get lost. I circled the hotel so you guys know." He said handing me a rolled up piece of paper.

I took it and nodded. "I should be back tomorrow or the next day. The blue is the arenas if you two want to take a practice lap." He said with a chuckle before walking off.

I closed the door. I held up the map and smiled. "We now have a large piece of the puzzle." I said throwing her the map.

She smiled as opened it. She laid it out on the bed and started scouting.

"Here's the hotel and dragon sanctuary. Here seems to be a castle. Most likely our first stop." She said pointing to a large area on the map.

"We'll get in and take a look around. Let's see if there's a way to get a "tour" before we try anything." I said.

She nodded and rolled up the map.

We tucked everything under the bed and placed a do not disturb sign on the door so no one would come in and find it. Talon and I grabbed a pair of gloves and we locked the door.

We walked down the stairs and right as we left we ran into Chryses.

He handed us two large bridles. "These should fit any dragon. Go to the sanctuary and pick two out. Oh and tell them I let you. Those guards respect anyone who knows my name." He said before hopping back on his dragon.

"There is a quiet time at around 10 so just be mindful." He called. He patted his dragons neck before taking off.

"Let's go." I said pulling her to the ally ways.

It was much easier to travel through them then in the busy streets.

We made our way to the sanctuary. "We'll get two dragons to help us get to the castle." I said.

Talon nodded. "Won't be hard to fit in." She said tilting her head up to the sky. It wasn't filled with dragons but there was a good number around.

We walking into the dragon sanctuary and didn't have a problem getting to the main area.

We walked to the stalls and there where a few with tags saying the owners.

"Kai over here!" Talon called. I walked over to a large panel.

This panel had a lot of dragons names on them. Under each name was a button. Each button was colour coded to the species.

Near the bottom was a different list with simply dragon species. They didn't have names.

"This must activate the plant...-" "And calls the dragons to the stables." Talon finished for me.

"So they have a whole system. I don't want to give them credit but...it's actually genius..." I said.

Talon nodded. "So what should we get?" She asked. I shrugged.

"Ima just get my dragon you can pick yours." I said before hitting a red button for a fire dragon.

She shrugged. She looked over all the names before hitting a purple button labeled Form.

"Good choice." I said. She smiled. We waited a few minutes before the doors to two stalls opened.

In came a large red fire dragon. In the other stall came in a very slender Wyvern.

When we looked back at the bots the two buttons where glowing.

A law guard came over to aid us.

"You can now name these two." He said in a serious tone. He handed us two slips of paper and one pencil.

I took one slip and the pencil. I wrote down Flame after my first dragon then handed the pencil to Talon.

She named her dragon Slither. We handed everything back to the law guard and he stuck the slips onto the buttons before moving the buttons to the first list.

"They are now yours return them here every night for their feeding at 10." He said before walking off.

We walked over to our dragons. There eyes weren't white but they where so calm for being kept like this.

I placed my hand on the dragons snout. "We'll get that plant out of you...once we know more." I said.

Talon nodded. The dragons took the bridles fairly easily and we saddles them.

The saddles where large and were placed at the base of the neck. Chest straps wrap around there chest as well as a few extra around there legs.

We opened the stable doors and led the dragons out.

"If the dragons master requires your dragon you will be notified." One of the law guards said not even looking at us.

Talon glared at them but continued walking.

We walked the dragons past the mist and there eyes didn't turn white. "Must only do that when there on a mission." Talon said mounting her dragon.

I did the same. "Good then we can at least talk to each other." I said. I moved the dragons rains and they followed very well.

"These two are better listeners then some horses." Talon joked.

I smiled. I squeezed my legs and the dragon took off.

Chapter 40!!!

I'm getting excited cause I don't know if I'll make it to 50.

Also yes any dragon under the dragon masters control (wile out of the plant) will act like giant horses because yes.
