It's been two days since you had a fever and you still feel unwell, you have been lying on the bed, Kokomi had written a letter to your adoptive mother about your current status, You were always like this every year. You feel sick the day of your birth. “K-Ko..komi.” You said voice hoarse, Kokomi gently pats your forehead. “You're gonna be fine, Y/N.”

“What is a Tenryou Commission Detective doing here?” Gorou asked raising a brow at Heizou. “Who is here?” Kokomi asked from inside the room. “It's the Tenryou Commission's Detective My Lady.” Kokomi and Y/N stopped. “Heizou..? Where is.. he?” You coughed, seeing as to how you were desperate to see the person Kokomi lets the detective in the room. “Y/N?!” You saw Heizou with a worried look. Kokomi pushed Gorou outside to give you some alone time with the man.

“But your excellency! It's the Tenr—” Kokomi only smiled at him. “If Y/N trusts him then we can too.” Gorou sulked he didn't quite trust the man, but he obeyed orders from the Priestess.

“Y/N, how are you? I was worried since I didn't see you out so I tried to call your mother she said that you're here.” You only nod. “Sorry for making you two worry, But I think my mother would understand after all she knows what day it is when I got sick.”

“Oh, that reminds me. Here.” Heizou gave you a hairclip, It had a lotus design on it. “Your mother told me about it. Happy Birthday. I didn't know so I just bought something in the city.” Heizou said looking away, You gave him a chuckle, Besides Kokomi and Gorou, as well as your mother no one gave you a gift on your birthday.

You bought the kanzashi on your cheek as you smile brightly at him. “I love it, very much!”

At that time, Heizou knew he felt something new within his feelings. “What are you? doing here?” Kazuha said entering the room. “Oh? It's you?” Heizou said, looking at the gentleman at the door. “You two know each other?”

Heizou was about to say something but Kazuha beamed a smile, “Oh no! I was just confused I thought it was general gorou it seems like you have a guest Y/N.” Kazuha said, “Oh yes! Kazuha this is Heizou He is a detective from the Tenryou Commission he is here for personal reasons, Heizou this is Kaedehara Kazuha a childhood friend of mine.”

Heizou smiled irritatedly as he approached the missing ronin, Extending his hands for a greeting. “Ah, nice to meet you Mr. Kaedehara!” Kazuha accepted the bone-crushing grip as he returned the smile. “Same to you as well, Mr. Shikanoin.” You felt something was off in the atmosphere; Fortunately, Kokomi went back into the room for your meal— “You two go outside!” Kokomi kicked both anemo users from your room slamming the door shut.

You couldn't even protest, Kokomi's rules are Kokomi's orders, you just gave her a chuckle.

Outside the room, the detective only gave a stare at his long-lost friend, Who had fled the country. “What was that about?” Heizou asked the ronin. Kazuha only chuckled. “I didn't expect to see you here in the Resistance Heizou.”

“You're right, I'm even wondering why I'm here. But right now I think I know why.” Heizou looks at your room's door, Kazuha frowned. “Do you like Colonel Y/N?” Kazuha asked his friend, “Well do you?” Heizou asked back to the man, Kazuha only frowned. “I asked you first.” 

“What If—” 

“Y/N! Where is Y/N?!” Your mother has just come in, which made the two boys stop.  “Ms. Kira, you're here!” Gorou said as he the old woman in the room, The woman's eyes wandered to someone rather familiar. “Kira?” Kazuha asked. “Young Master, Kazuha.” She greeted.

“M-Mom..” You said, She hugged you tightly. “How are you feeling? Sorry, I'm late I had some serious business to deal with back at home..” You nodded, “It's fine mom. I understand you.”

“This is a necklace, This will be my birthday gift for you, my child.” You saw the necklace had a rather interesting gem on it. “Thank you mother..” but you were slowly doubting, and questions started to arise in your head. Where did your mother get this expensive-looking necklace?

“Anyway. I need to go home later for some matters, You stay here Y/N okay?” You nodded.

“What?!” Irin said, “You were blocked by some men from tailing her?!” She asked in furious, “Yes my lady, It appears that someone high is backing up Y/N.” Rei added which only made Irin throw the champagne glass at them. “Useless fools!”

“My lady, there is more! I have already investigated. We have detected that Y/N is living with a woman named Kira.”

Seeing the pictures, Irin couldn't help but let out hysterical laughter, “So Y/N is alive because of this useless thing?” Irin's face darkens, as she screamed again. Her servants only remained still hoping that they won't dare provoke the woman. “Good, Good! I will give you both a painful death!”

“Call Yugo!” A tall man entered the room, “You called me?” Yugo said. “You know what you have to do, don't you dare disappoint me.”

“Yes.”

On the way home, Kira was quietly walking around with guards hiding that protecting her, But just as then a man was standing in their house. Kira became alerted. “Who are you? What are you doing in my house?” She said voice lingered with hostility, the man only looked at her. “I'm here for business, that's.. taking your life.” He launched an attack but someone blocked it, It was Ryu. “Ryu? You're here.” Kira said.

“Yes I am, the lady I sensed danger earlier it's a good thing that I went here otherwise.. what will happen to you?” Kira only gave him a nod, turning back to glare at the unknown man who suddenly wanted to attack her, “SHUT UP!” The man attacked, but with a Geo Construct Ryu blocked his attack. Kira's men held the unknown man to the ground.

“I suggest you tell me who sent you. I'm not as fragile as you think.” Kira said, as he stepped on the man's back, The man shouted in pain. “Even if you kill me, I will not betray my owner!” He said.

Kira signaled Ryu, in which Ryu gave her the knife. “What a loyal dog, I'll make you beg for a quick death then.” Before she could do something the man went unconscious; Ryu checked there were no signs of breathing either which can only mean ta hing— He committed suicide because he doesn't want to reveal who sent him.

“He committed suicide, Madam,” Ryu said, Kira had a gut feeling that It could be someone she's familiar with. Her guts were betraying her. “He must've loved his owner since he's a loyal dog, Get rid of that body,” Kira said before walking away. “Madam, please. you and the young lady, be careful.” Ryu reminded Kira, Kira nodded.

“I will send the family's lawyer for me to meet.” Ryu nodded before disappearing with the dead body, “I must do everything at once, So I can tell Y/N about the things that she doesn't know yet.”
