"Two Days Later"
Many visitors had come to see Max since her admittance in the hospital. Steve came back every couple of hours to check if Lucas needed anything and to see how Max was doing. A few times he brought Robin with him.
El and Will were back from California and had come to see Max earlier that day, along with Mike. Nancy and Jonathan had come with them too. Dustin came at a different time.
Lucas had wished Max could have seen how many people were there for her. Of course they were all people that were expected, but even then, she deserved to know she was cared about.
Lucas was in the middle of reading yet another chapter of Stephen King's The Talisman to Max when Erica spoke.
"Lucas. You're gonna wanna see this."
Lucas turned to see his sister staring out the window. He joined her and couldn't believe his eyes.
The pair looked at each other as the ash continued to fall from the sky. Blending Hawkins and the Upside Down.
There was a gasp. Lucas whipped around to look at Max.
"Lucas?"
