Seonghwa shoved his belongings into his bag, an anger in his actions that made the sadness in his expression just a little harder to decipher as Hongjoong calmly put his stuff away beside the younger, worriedly watching over Seonghwa's frantic movements.

Seonghwa sniffled wiping at his face as he zipped up his suitcase, turning around.

And Hongjoong was right there, blocking the younger's movements.

"Hwa," Hongjoong lifted the younger's chin to face him, trying to get falling tears his to stop, to calm.

"It's okay. It's going to be okay."

"It's not okay,"  Seonghwa said each word with a gasp for air.

"None of this is okay." The grief was billowing into anger, and all Hongjoong wanted to do was make it all stop.

Hongjoong kissed Seonghwa's forehead, hands holding the younger's shoulders to hold him close, to keep him near.

"We'll check into a hotel for the night," Hongjoong began to plan.

"We can head back in the morning. We'll be home and the others will be there shortly."

Seonghwa nodded, letting out a deep breath.

"Your parents will come around," Hongjoong assured.

"They love you, Seonghwa. Really, really love you. It'll work out."

Seonghwa nodded again, opening his eyes to meet Hongjoong's before he was leaning in to steal a soft kiss.

"I love you," Seonghwa said against Hongjoong's lips. "I love you so much. Thank you for being here."

"Wouldn't miss it for the world," Hongjoong assured, pressing a kiss to Seonghwa's cheek. "Come on, grab your suitcase."

Seonghwa nodded, stepping away from Hongjoong only to come to a stop, looking in the doorway.

Hongjoong turned to face Seonghwa's mom, standing in the hallway, door wide open.

She pursed her lips as she looked over them.

"Can I talk to my son, alone?" She asked.

Hongjoong swallowed thickly, looking to Seonghwa, who nodded.

Hongjoong bowed his head as he removed himself from the room.

"Please don't leave," Seonghwa's mom would say the moment the door closed.

"Please, Seonghwa. Don't leave. Not like this. Your father just needs time and —"

"Do you?" Seonghwa crossed his arms, sinking to his bed.

"Do you need time?"

She took a deep breath, looking around her son's room.

"I've wondered," she said. "Briefly. You've always been a little... different is all," she said. "But you dated girls in high school, you know."
