Chance It

   "Todoroki-kun, for the last I'm fine. I just have a cold." Midoriya sighs as he tries to get out of his bed, getting quite annoyed at his friend for being a mother hen.
   "You were in another world for months and you expect me to believe it's just a cold." Todoroki makes his green haired lay back down in bed.
   "Todoroki-kun, can you stop, please." He begs.
   "Bakuroki wasn't doing well when he was here and you said you were getting sicker by the day-"
   "No, I just said I wasn't feeling well for the past few weeks." Midoriya interrupts.
   "Regardless, Recovery Girl will be here within the next two hours to do a check up on you." Todoroki puts a wet rag on the green haired male's forehead.
   "... What's with you? You are acting so weird...."
   "...." Todoroki stays silent for a moment, then takes a deep breath.  "When I know you are in well health... I would like to talk to you about something.... It's not important at the moment, but I would greatly appreciate it if you keep this in mind. I will be very serious when we are able to have this conversation."
   Midoriya stares at Todoroki, he is at a lost for words and can only nod his head in response.
  

  

   Saikyo sees Bakugo's front door open and walks over to Todoroki's.
   "Hey, did you have fun with Bakugo?" He pats the kids head.
   "..." Saikyo looks at the floor.
   "The brat still won't talk." Bakugo said.  Saikyo hasn't spoken a word since he sent Izuku back to his own world.  "I've tried everything." He sighs.
   "I'll see about taking him to a doctor." Todoroki looks down at the boy. "After all, I did promise I'd look after you." He gives a soft smile. Saikyo doesn't even look up.
   "Todoroki, let's talk, kid, go watch TV for a bit." Bakugo orders. The young boy just walks off and Todoroki sits on the couch. They wait until they hear the door close before speaking  "... How the Nerd?"
   "Still convinced he has a cold. I don't think they took him to a doctor in that world. He doesn't know he was dying..." He sighs
   "That's probably for the best." Bakugo sits on the opposite side of the couch and lays his head back. Todoroki's leg start to twitch, he looks like he's about to have a break down. "Dude, stop twitching or I'll blow your leg off." He warns.
   "I... We could have..." Todoroki bites his lower lip.
   "There's no "we" in this situation. You're the one who's in love with him." Bakugo lefts his head up and looks at the candy cane looking man, who looks very shocked at this.  "Preg-O ratted you out remember. Stop being a coward and tell him already. He'll never fully understand unless you spit it out."
   ".... I have so many questions right now.... Since when do you give out relationship advice? Why do you even care that I tell him? And how can you tell me to confess when you, yourself, can't even tell the person you like how you fe-" Bakugo puts his hand on Todoroki's mouth, steam coming from it.
   "Do you have a death wish, you fucking bastard?!"  Todoroki slaps the angry blonde's hand away.
   "Aren't you in love with someone too? Everyone can tell. You're nicest when speaking with them on the phone, you should tell them how you feel instead of telling me to do something, when not even you can do it to the per you like." He snaps before standing up and calls for Saikyo so they can leave.
   "Fuck off!" Bakugo stands up and grabs Todoroki's collar.  "You and that damn nerd can stay the hell out of my love life and from now on, unless it's about work don't communicate with me at all." He lets go when Saikyo appears.
   Todoroki takes the boy's hand and walks off.
  

    Two weeks has passed and Todoroki decided to take Saikyo to see Midoriya today.
   "Now remember Saikyo, this isn't the Izu-chan you know." The boy nods as they enter the room where Midoriya was sitting up in bed, reading a book.
   "Oh." He smiles at the two visitors "Who's this Todoroki-kun?"  The boy holds onto Todoroki's hand tightly.
   "Saikyo. He hasn't spoken since the swap back. He's the reason you're back now."
   "I see." He closes his book. "Please have a seat." He holds out his hand over the chairs by his bed. The two sit down. "Saikyo-kun, right?" The boy nods.  "I should really thank you." The boy looks confused.  "If it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have met so many wonderful people in the other world." He smiles at the two.  "I got to see what a difference my life would have been, if things were.... Slightly different." The boy looks away, feeling guilty that he caused  all this to happen. ".... I know you didn't mean to. It's okay, I forgive you." Saikyo's head shot up when Midoriya pats his head. "Accidents happen, but what you do to fix your mistakes is what really matters. I know it must be painful for you, Todoroki-kun tells me you were really close to the other me." Saikyo nods as he fights tears.  "I'm sorry I can't be them exactly, but I would like to be your friend, if you give me a chance."
   "I told you Midoriya wouldn't be mad at you." Todoroki smiles as Saikyo lets the tears fall down his face.
   Once things have calmed down Todoroki asked if he could speak with Midoriya alone for a bit. Saikyo nods and walks out of the room.
   "So you're really gonna take care of him?" Midoriya ask
   "Yeah, I made a promise to Bakuroki."
   "He seems like a good kid, but do you really think you can handle being a single father?"
   "I'm not his father. I'm just going to look after him."
   "Do you have help with him?"
   "... Not at the moment, but he's been taking care of himself all this time so I think it'll be fine."
   "He's still a kid Todoroki-kun, he'll need proper care."
   "Midoriya.... Can we stop talking about this?" Todoroki sighs "I have other things I wish to discuss."
   "... Fine, but I want to come back to this." Midoriya says in an almost scolding way.
   "How's your health?"
   "It's fine. Recovery Girl said I can go back to being a hero by the end of the month." He smiles.
   "That's good." He smiles. 
   "So does this mean we'll have that "serious talk" now?"
   "Midoriya..." Todoroki grabs Midoriya's hand.  "I don't ever want to be in a situation to where I will never know if it could have worked out."
   "If what could have worked out?" Midoriya gives a confused look. 
   "I like you. I have for a long time. I would like us to date."
   "T-Todoroki-kun... I..." He takes his hand away from the white and red haired male. "I'm sorry, but I... I've never thought of you like that before... And I can't just change my mind on something like this so easily... You're one of my closest friends and I wouldn't want to lose you in that way...." He looks away from Todoroki's heartbroken face.
   "I see... I'm sorry to have brought it up." He stands up and heads to the door.  "I hope to see you at work soon. Goodbye."
   Midoriya calls out to him, begging him to come back, but he doesn't even look behind him.
   Saikyo, who was waiting across the hall, sees Todoroki looking upset, worry begins to be written all over his face.
   "I'm fine... Just gonna be a little sad for awhile." Saikyo hugs the older man tightly. Todoroki hugs him back. "Let's just go home."
