Chapter 8: A Friend in Need

Technoblade walked down to the medward- Bad had summoned him- he needed something.

"What's up Bad?" He asked the man with the black hood who was sitting in his chair, "Techno I need your help" he said with a solemn look on his face, "lots of people do I do happen to be immortal- a god of sorts" Techno smirked, Bad looked at him in an annoyed way, Techno gave a dry chuckle, "how so?" Techno asked with his arms crossed

"Um I- you aren't going to like it-" Bad stuttered, "try me" Techno said with a gleam in his eye-

"I- I need blaze rods-" he said in a stutter- running over his words, "ok- so get one of the guards to get it- why me?" Techno asked, "um- the- piglins have taken over the blaze ruins- the only place where blazes live- and they won't let anyone past" Bad said looking up at Techno who had a pissed look on his face, "I told you- you wouldn't like it" Bad said with a slight frown across his face.

Techno took a deep breath in- almost to prevent curses from spewing out of his mouth- "you- want- me to go back- to the nether- and speak to—" Techno took another breath, "piglins" he finished in ticked off voice.

"Yes?" Bad said in a wary voice, Techno rolled his eyes, "you really don't know me at all" he said as he started to walk out of the room- "Techno please- I really need them-" Bad said standing up from his chair with pleading eyes looking at Techno- though he was already halfway out the door.

"And you want me to go back to literal hell to get you some friggin glowing sticks" Techno turned angrily to meet his friends pleading gaze, Bad sighed, "I know it's asking a lot- but I- really do need them" Bad said with a sorrowful look on his face, "and what for?" Techno asked angrily, "what's so important that I have to go to the one place I despise more than any other realm in this cursed universe" Techno asked angrily- looking at his now sad friend.

Bad sighed- "my friend- he's- he's dying and- I can't do anything about it- till I get the blaze rods- for the antidote" he said looking at his hands- "I just feel so useless- I can heal- but I can't do it without the proper ingredients- it's so frustrating" Bad said clenching his fists together- resting them on his desk

This was the most frustration he'd ever seen from his doctor friend- Technos face softened- "oh- Bad- I- I" Techno stuttered- he wasn't the best with words- and he didn't always need to be- Bad shook his head- "it's fine Techno- it's- it's fine." Bad sighed with a hand out almost saying stop- but his head was still focused on his desk, "I shouldn't have dumped that on you it's not your responsibility" he sighed and looked down at his wooden desk his hands resting on top of it.

Techno sighed- and pondered for a second- "alright- I'll do it" Techno sighed, Bads eyes lit up- as he turned to face his friend, he stood up from the chair- and walked over to Techno- and embraced him- "thank you" he whispered, Techno was shocked but returned it, "well if I end up stuck there for the rest of my life I'm blaming you" Techno said pulling out of the hug and giving Bad a smirk, he rolled his eyes.

"When do you plan on leaving?" Bad asked, "what so quick to get rid of me?" Techno joked, Bad sighed, "no I'd just rather my friend not have to suffer anymore than he already is" Bad said seriously, "yes I know Bad I'll leave tonight- that'll keep me from talking myself out of it" Techno said- with a sigh- "I'll leave you to it"- he said walking out of the office- "wait Techno- thank you-" he said with hope- and a twinge of fear in his eye- Techno nodded in response- and walked out of the room- Bad looked down at his desk-

"I hope you're happy-" Bad said quietly looking down at his desk in anger- "very-" a voice with an accent replied- Bad looked up at the counter across from him- there was nothing there- at least that was able to be seen- a few moments pass by- and a man becomes visible- his invisibility potion wore off- "I hear the Blood god isn't an easy person to fool- but you did it quite well" the man with white black lensed glasses said with a smile- "he's not- and I don't think he's very convinced-" Bad said looking up at the man- who had brown hair- and a blue shirt- "no matter- as long as he isn't here when I do what I do- we'll have no problem-" he smiled evilly-

Bad grimaced- "you won't be able to touch the king-" he said quietly- "oh so sure? Trust me- your "king" won't live much longer" the man grinned- "who says I won't tell the guards-" Bad questioned with annoyance- the man smirked- "trust me- you wouldn't dare- I have your friend- remember?" The man said snapping his fingers- blue sparks flew- and the diamond shop keeper appeared in the room- his hands tied and gag in his mouth- his eyes shocked- Bad reached out- but the man disappeared- Bad slammed his fist on the table- the man grinned and put his hands on the table and leaned over- till he was a couple inches from Bads face- "and that's why you won't tell anyone-" the man said walking proudly over to the door- he pulled a foggy potion out of his cloak and drank it- the door opened and closed-

Bad slumped back in his chair- tears starting to roll down his face- "oh - what have I done? I've betrayed my king- and the sons of my friend- what kind of monster am I?" He said burying his head in his hands- tears rolling down his hands
