Wilbur walked down to the hall- exhausted- physically and emotionally- he'd just had a long winded meeting with the nations trade partners- ever since the war everything had gone to hell- the farmers crops had been burned when the fields were set on fire- the cattle drivers- cattle killed barbarically by Dreams army- and so many other things- the trade partners wanted assurance that they would get their goods-

Wilbur had assured them that come next harvest they would get it and they would just have to be patient- but the problem is the partnering nations had already sent their end of the supplies to Wilburs kingdom- now it was his turn to pay up- they'd already given him a extension due to the war- now that it was over there was no more sympathy they wanted their goods but there was no way to get them- Wilbur needed to buy time- and he did for now- they were off his back for now- but now he had to scramble to find a way of out this hole.

He walked tiredly down the halls- late night- he had skipped dinner- and lunch because the meeting had gone much longer than anticipated- but he was starving so he'd hoped there was some food left even though it was way past dinner time.

He walked around the doorframe into the dining hall leaning against the wooden grain- luckily there was food still in pots sitting on the table- the servants must've just not put it away yet- which was great for Wil- he grabbed a bowl and scooped some of the cold beef stew into the bowl- he grabbed a cold roll and sat down at the head of the table.

He took a couple bites- cold stew flowing down his throat it didn't taste great, his eyes were getting droopy but he had to stay awake- he was so hungry- but also so tired- he held his head in his palm as he ate- slumping forward in his chair- if his mother could see him now- he knows exactly what she'd say- "Wilbur- don't slouch" he could hear her say in his mind- as if she was sitting right there next to him.

He could feel himself falling asleep- his eyelids got even heavier- his spoon hit his bowl with a clang as it slipped through his limp fingers- he jolted awake- he took off his glasses and held his face in his hands and sighed- he looked down at the bowl of food and sighed once again- and decided that he would just eat in the morning-

He got up sleepily and yawned- he walked down the quiet hallway the candlelight and the moon dimly lighting his path back to his room- he opened the door to his room- and looked at the bed- then at the window- he sighed and walked over to his window and sat down on the ledge- and looked out his window- the moon shining on his face- he looked out over his sleeping kingdom- taking in its sleeping beauty, it was such a quiet night- slightly cloudy not a star in the sky- though the moon shone bright amongst the darkness of the cloudy dark blue purplish sky- he could see the faint torch light- lighting the roads in the village.

He could hear the wind whistling against his window the gentle breeze lulling him to sleep- his eyes struggled to stay open- but he looked out the window one more time- he saw something strange- it looked like- Ranboo and- Techno- talking in front of the gate though they were difficult to see- the gate was open for some reason- it was only ever open during the day for safety reasons-

He squinted his eyes in the direction of the gate- it seemed that Ranboo handed Techno something before he walked off into the darkness of the night it didn't help that he has bad eyes- "what're you doing Techno?" Wilbur whispered- his breath fogging up the window making it hard to see anything-

Before he knew it he blinked and Ranboo was gone too he rested his head against the wall- almost to tired to care about the midnight escapade Techno just left on- but he would have to ask him about it- eventually but right now he was almost to tired to think- he got up slowly and stumbled towards his bed- taking his crown off and placing it on his end table- and dropping into bed- the soft bedding ebbing him to sleep- even though his clothes were super uncomfortable-
His eyes shut and he drifted off to sleep-
