Rowan's made it a habit to sit next to me every economics class, which is every school day, and boy do we laugh a lot, Miss Harding hates us for it. I always get weird looks and stares from certain girls (Jenny) And sometimes even boys in my class, I just assume they're jealous.

The last class of the day, economics, we were getting our exam results back which I'm not entirely looking forward to... Rowan said he'll help me study if I fail... surprisingly he is really good at economics, according to him it's his favorite subject, and so what? I
wouldn't entirely hate getting tutored by him...

I walk into class with my bag over my shoulder, after greeting the teacher, I make eye contact with Rowan, we both smile at each other. As I walk over, I stop at a desk in front of him, I place my foot on the chair and dump my bag on the floor. I glance up at Rowan, he tilts his head with his eyebrows furrowed together in confusion. I hid my smirk.

To him it looks like I'm going to sit here instead of my usual spot next to him, but in reality I'm just tying my laces. I get butterflies in my stomach at the thought of him being upset that I'm not sitting next to him. Still smirking, I tie my laces, and drag my foot off the chair, I look at Rowan and he frowns at me causing me to laugh.

My head sharply flicks in the direction of a big thud I hear, to see my bag thrown on the floor and Jenny standing beside it. I roll my eyes and tighten my jaw, my expression now serious. Jenny is one the biggest bitches I've ever known. She's your average blonde idiot, (don't get me wrong, i love blondes, but Jenny? No) Jenny's a popular girl, many boys drool over her, we've never been friends yet she holds this impenetrable grudge against me.

She flicks her dirty blonde straight hair over her shoulder before looking me up and down. She smacks her lips "that's my seat" i chuckle "rightio, no need to push my bag off though" i pick up my bag and turn to Rowan who is trying not to laugh. "Yea well, it's my spot" I hid my mouth from Jenny and examined Rowan whilst mouthing "loser" and pointing at her behind my hand. He covered his mouth and looked away trying not to laugh.

I stand up straight and look at Jenny who was already staring me down. "Sorry did you say something?" I pout at her, turn my back and walk away.

As I go to my usual spot Rowan puts his bag on my table reserving the spot. My eyes flicker towards his ears, his wearing different earrings, he usually wears black studs, but today in his left ear he has a silver cross that dangles, his black hair covering the tip of his ears matching perfectly with the silver jewellery.

"Someone's sitting here" Rowan shrugs at me and looks away. I squint my eyes and bat my eyelashes at him, my face blank.

He scratched his neck trying to avoid me staring at him. "Fine. Just because we're friends, and honestly I don't want anyone else to sit here. He put his finger to his mouth to make it sound secretive, then he beamed at me.
