When Saturday came, Sienna was doing her own hair and makeup as their team had left with the boys. It was nice to have some time to herself, to just sit and listen to some music as she got ready.
A knock came on the door and Sienna asked who it was.
"It's just me, I'll help you with your dress." Her mother called out and opened the door. Sienna applied the last of her red lipstick and set her face with a setting spray. Turning around, her mum instantly lit up.
"How do I look?"
"Like a movie star!" Her mum gushed and Sienna beamed. She took the dress off the hanger and slipped it on. Her mum zipped up the back as they looked in the mirror.
"You look beautiful, Sienna. Absolutely beautiful."
"I love you so much." Sienna turned around and gave her mum the biggest hug.
"I love you too, angel." Her mother said into her ear.
"Now to get these stupid heels on." Sienna laughed and sat on the edge of her bed as she laced up the shoes.
"Paul's waiting in the lounge for you. I'll let him know you're almost ready."
Sienna was left alone again. She looked in the mirror again, observing her appearance.
She smiled at herself as she twirled around in her dress. This was going to be a memorable night.
She slowly walked towards the living room and she could hear Paul talking to her parents as she inched closer. She began to feel nervous. She didn't care if everyone at the ball thought she looked horrendous, all she hoped was that Paul thought she was beautiful.
She slowly entered the living room, and her parents were the first to look her way. Paul's head slowly turned and his eyes widened as he looked her up and down.
"Beautiful, Sienna! You look amazing! Quick let's get pictures!" Her dad complimented and Paul stood up to stand next to Sienna. Snaking a hand around her waist, he leaned in and whispered.
"You look enchanting."
Her father took the picture in that moment and it captured the immense feeling of love Sienna felt for Paul. She knew her feelings never really went away but in that moment, she knew for certain how much she was falling for him.
After more pictures, her dad dropped them off at the school gym.
Stepping out of the car, heads turned immediately to the pair. Sienna gathered from the gasps and the instinctive pulling out of the phones that her principal didn't mention to anyone that she'd be there.
They made their way inside and sighed.
"We made it in alive. Shall we go dance?" Paul suggested as they noticed the busy dance floor.
"Let's go to the photobooth first. I don't want to sweat off my makeup before we get to take photos." Sienna said and Paul shrugged.
"Fair enough, lead the way."
They found the photobooth and there was only one person ahead of them.
"Oh my god. Paul McCartney and Sienna Malbrook!" One girl's eyes widened behind gold wire framed glasses.
"That's us." Paul smiled.
"I'm sure you won't remember me, I was in your drama class in year eleven. Kelly." She said and Sienna smiled too.
"I remember you. Kelly Mcaughley, right? You played Ophelia in Hamlet that year." Sienna replied and Kelly grinned.
"I did. I can't believe you remember. I'm such a huge fan, 'All Too Well' really helped me get through a breakup. You guys cut in front, honestly it would be my pleasure." Kelly motioned for them to move in front.
