"Oh Jesus, I thought you guys were murderers or something. Why the hell did you take the back door?" Sienna questioned.
"The guard at the front wouldn't let us in, said you weren't wanting to see anyone. We had to bribe the guard at the back to let us climb the fence." Claudia explained and George snickered.
"We had to bribe him?"
Claudia slapped his chest.
"Not an important detail."
"Wait, they're saying I don't want to see anyone? I never told them that." Sienna furrowed her eyebrows in confusion.
"We think Humfrey told them to tell people that." George responded and Sienna sighed.
"And here I was thinking you all hated me and just didn't want to see me."
"Maybe the internet hates you right now but we definitely don't." Claudia joked and taking one look at Sienna quickly realised it wasn't the time. "Too soon, sorry."
"I haven't been online or made a public appearance in like 6 months, I don't know why people aren't moving on. It's like when I speak, I'm fake, when I don't speak, I'm a coward. I can't fucking win."
"Change the game then." George said and Sienna looked up at him.
"Huh?"
"Change the game. You're playing to please them but what if you just took the reigns and be confident in who you are. You know who you are, we know who you are, the real fans know who you are. If you don't let the comments get to you, they'll get bored. They can't win if you decide that you're the one that's in the lead." George explained and Sienna nodded.
"I know you're right, it's just hard. It's not that easy to just 'be confident'."
"Well, why don't we take baby steps? Come out tonight. We're going to a party, just come out and have fun. People might see you but they might not, and at least you got yourself out of the house." Claudia suggested.
"I don't know, guys."
"How many days have you worn that outfit?" George asked and Sienna smirked.
"I lost count."
"See, now there's your first problem. Come out, have a drink with us, let loose. It'll be fun!" George poked Sienna and the smile began to grow.
"Alright fine!"
The pair stayed with Sienna while she got herself ready. It felt weird to be out of those pajamas but she knew this would do her good. Claudia helped her pick out an outfit and even did her makeup for her. They made it to the party and Sienna was surrounded by celebrities. It made her anxious but none of them gave her a bad look or even ignored her. Most people got excited to see her there, especially some of the actors and singers that Sienna had become friends with throughout the years who had missed seeing her attend these parties.
"No fucking way is that Sienna!" Tasha Dharby, three time grammy award winning singer exclaimed. Sienna grinned at her as she was almost knocked over by her friend's bear hug.
"I'm back." Sienna shrugged and Tasha, who was quite a few drinks in already gently pushed her shoulder.
"Back and better than ever! You look amazing!"
They had a playful back and forth, with more people joining them to celebrate Sienna's return to the partying scene. It felt nice to be missed. Claudia and George were back and forth between dancing with Sienna and being completely absent for hours at a time. During one period of the pair being missing, Sienna found herself at in the kitchen filling up a cup with water. She had gone sober a few months before after finding the drinking to forget her problems only made her still fully aware of her problems the next day, only feeling ten times worse about them.
