Chapter 17

"I want that horse!"

"Yes sweetheart, but we just have to let things happen. All things come to those who wait."

"No, you don't understand I can't wait for this. She's never going to sell that horse."

"What shall you dear?"

"Oh I'm going to do something."

"Are you sure this is safe?"

"Of course, do you trust me?"

"Yes but, water and horses and you and spooking."

"Oh shut up and get on."

"I-" Drake swung me up onto Cloud's bare back behind him. We were going to go to the lake today, ponying Hotshot.

We cantered off at a slow pace, the lake wasn't far. Soon enough we arrived.

"Okay now you get off." I pushed Drake off Cloud and laughed.

"What was that for?'' He asked looking up.

"I'm going in, you can ride Hotshot." I said proudly.

"You're kidding right?" He asks as I trot off on Cloud. She enters the water easily until it reaches her chest. We swim for a bit before I see the most majestic thing ever. Drake is cantering down the beach on Hotshot. I crack up laughing, throwing my head back onto Cloud's butt. I think my life is pretty perfect. I have a horse, a boyfriend, and fun what could anyone want more?
