Fae

I had thankfully finished all my homework before the last bell rang and it was time to go home. Most people go to the front when they leave since most of the students drive but I left out of the back of the building and went back into the forest. My house was a bit of a walk but I enjoyed it.

I owned a cottage in the woods. It was old and somehow lasted through the elements over the many years. I redecorated it almost every year to keep up with my style.

I set my bag down on a chair in the kitchen before I headed up the stairs to my bedroom. I decided to change into a more simple outfit since I would be at home for the rest of the day.

After I finished changing, I threw my hair up into a messy bun and headed back downstairs to make some tea

After I finished changing, I threw my hair up into a messy bun and headed back downstairs to make some tea. I looked through my array of ingredients before I settled on chamomile tea. I grabbed my glass teapot and quickly washed it just to make sure.

I grabbed a few chamomile flowers and placed them in a pot along with some apple mint. I chose an apple mint instead of peppermint since I wanted a softer flavor. I heated some hot water in a pot and as it began to steam I placed my herbs into my glass pot.

I carefully poured the hot water into my pot and closed it, letting the tea brew. Once it got to how I like it, I strained it into the pot I used for the hot water and then threw away the remaining herbs before pouring the tea back into the pot.

I placed my teapot onto a tray and one of my favorite mugs on it as well before I went into my lounge area. I pulled out the book I had been reading and poured myself some tea.

What a wonderful way to end the day.

The Cullen's

The school day finally ended and the Cullen's were extremely thankful. They all met up at their cars, Edwards Volvo and Emmett's Jeep. "Guess who I met!" Alice's joyful voice sang as she walked up to her 'siblings'. "Who?" Emmett asked, leaning back against his jeep. "Fae." Alice replied, her smile growing wider.

Rosalie and Alice jumped into a conversation about the girl as they all got into the Jeep, and Edward into his Volvo. The girls decided that they would invite Fae to go shopping with them sometime during the week. Soon they got to their home and kept talking about how they should invite her to stay over that night.

They were so caught up in their conversation that they didn't answer Carlisle when he asked how their day was. "They seem excited." Carlisle chuckled. "Yeah, we met this girl at school and she caught both Rose and Alice's attention." Emmett replied, placing his keys on a key hook that was next to the door. "Oh! That reminds me." Alice said, jumping up from her place on the couch.

"Edward, did you happen to stare at a girl in your Chemistry class today?" Alice asked, tilting her head slightly. The question caught everyone's attention. "How do you know about that?" Edward asked, a little caught off guard. "Well, the girl you were staring at was Fae. She was very on edge when I saw her in class. You creeped her out." Alice explained.

"You did what to Fae? Why?" Rosalie asked, now glaring at Edward. "Why is that any of your business Alice?" Edward asked, anger evident in his voice. "Edward." Carlisle said, using his affirmed 'dad voice'. "I'm actually curious as well, Edward. Why were you staring intensely at Fae?" Jasper asked, moving to stand next to his wife.

Edward sighed in frustration. He didn't want to admit it but there was no getting out of it. "I was in Chemistry and like normal, I could hear people's thoughts. So I started to try and match whose thoughts were whose for no reason. But when I got to her, I could match any thoughts. I tried to focus and see if maybe I just missed something but I got nothing. Then she pulled out a book and I thought maybe I'd hear her reading in her thoughts but again I got nothing. I could not hear any of her thoughts. I wanted to ask her about it after class but I lost her in the mass of other humans." Edward said, grumbling out his explanation.

The Cullen's looked confused. Edward could hear her thoughts? How was that possible? "It might just be you. I was able to read her emotions quite clearly." Jasper said, shrugging. "There must be a reason you can't hear her thoughts man." Emmett said, dismissively. "Maybe." Edward mumbled.
