Fae
I woke up the next morning as the Sun began to rise. I stayed in bed and turned my head to watch the sun rise. I didn't really sleep the best and I didn't feel like changing so I decided to just brush my long layered black hair out. I threw on a gray cardigan and my black converse before I headed down stairs for some breakfast. I made a simple breakfast of toast with marmalade on top with a small cup of coffee.
As I ate, I made my lunch. I put some mixed berries in a small container. Blueberries, cut up strawberries, and raspberries. Then I took out a pincher of lemon water I had in the fridge and put in a clear milk carton cup that would keep it cold. I put some fresh sliced lemon into it to keep the flavor. That was basically my lunch so I put it in my black bag. I put my dishes in the sink for later and started to leave.
I pulled my bag onto my shoulder and headed out, locking the door behind me. I walked through the forest towards the school. I got there pretty early like usual and there were a few other cars in the parking lot.
"Fae!" I heard someone yell. I whipped around and saw Alice jogging up to me. She pulled me into a hug. My eyes widen slightly at the sudden affection. "Hi Alice." I said as she let me go. Alice smiled at me and I looked up to see the others walking towards us. "So, I talked to Edward about the whole staring creepily at you thing and he's agreed to apologize." Alice explained, stepping to the side.
"Uh, yeah. I'm sorry Fae. I was trying to figure out if you were the girl my siblings were talking about at lunch the other day." Edward said, looking down and keeping his hands in his pockets. I raised an eyebrow at him, "It's fine, it just caught me off guard." I replied, shrugging my shoulders.
"Oh, speaking of lunch. Rosalie and I were wondering if you'd like to sit with us." Alice said, grabbing my arm. "Oh, uh. I don't know. I rarely even step foot in the cafeteria." I replied, readjusting my bag on my shoulder. "Come on shortie. It can't be that bad." Emmett said, smirking at me. I looked at him and raised my eyebrow again and pointed at him. "Hey, I'm not short, you're just a giant." Emmett playfully raised his hands up in defense while the others chuckled.
"So, lunch?" Alice asked, looking at me with a pleading look. "Dammit." I muttered when I saw the puppy dog eyes. "Alright, I'll sit with you guys at lunch." I said in defeat. "Yay!" Alice exclaimed, high fiving Rosalie.
I pinched the bridge of my nose, "Taken down by puppy dog eyes." I heard Emmett chuckle. "Eh, don't worry too much about it. Oh, did you do the homework for algebra?" Emmett asked, throwing his arm over my shoulder. "Uh, yeah. I did it during my eighth period." I replied, digging the paper out of my bag and handing it to him.
And that was when the bell rang. "Well, there's the bell. See you in art." Rosalie said, waving goodbye. Alice hooked arms with her and they headed to their first period. "Let's get to class." Jasper said once Emmett had removed his arm. "See you in Algebra, shortie." Emmett joked as he left.
I rolled my eyes as Jasper and I headed to class. As we walked through the halls, I noticed the girls ogling at Jasper and glaring at me. "Ok, that's creepy." I muttered. "Don't worry, they won't do anything." Jasper said once he noticed the girls. "I'm not one for attention so this is a bit uncomfortable." I replied as we walked into class. "I understand. I don't like it either." He said, giving me a reassuring smile.
Our conversation died once our teacher started speaking. As he was detailing a certain event in European history I had to try and not laugh. There were so many things wrong with what he was saying. But I guess those who write history down for the future tended to leave out some important details.
Class ended just after our teacher assigned a paper that had to be done by the end of the week on the French Revolution and Marie Antoinette. Well that would be easy.
