-Y/N-

"So, what do you think?" Dustin asked as he played the recording of the broadcast that we intercepted. He stopped it after it started to repeat.

We were all sitting in the back room of the Scoops Ahoy store. I was sitting at the table with Steve while Dustin was standing near the whiteboard, writing any notes or translations we could come up with. For now, it was just filled with mindless doodles.

"It sounded familiar." Steve thought about it. He reached in a drawer and pulled out a banana.

"What?" I asked with a tone of surprise. How could a Russian communication sound familiar?

"The music." Steve explained. "The music right there at the end." He started peeling the banana.

"Why are you listening to the music, Steve?" I asked. He was now taking large bites out of the banana.

"Listen to the Russian!" Dustin snapped, getting mad. "We're translating Russian!"

"I'm trying to listen to the Russian, but there's music-" Steve defended with his mouth full.

"All right, babysitting time is over." Robin came out the door. She had been working a double shift and covering for Steve while we were translating. "You need to get in there." She looked over at Dustin near the whiteboard.

"Hey, my board." She saw the doodles. "That was important data, shitbirds." She scolded us.

"I told you." I had warned Dustin to not blatantly erase all the numbers that were previously written on there.

"I guarantee you, what we're doing is way more important than your data." Steve said. He was half way done with the banana, and I was kind of hungry. Steve saw me staring and held out the banana to me. "Want a bite?" He asked.

"Sure." I said nonchalantly but on the inside I was grateful.

"Yeah? And how do you know these Russians are up to no good anyways?" Robin crossed her arms.

"How does she know about the Russians?" Steve looked at me accusingly. I stopped chewing.

"I don't know." I shook my head. But he wasn't convinced. Neither was Dustin.

"It was you-" Dustin said.

"You told her about-" Steve started.

"My own cousin-" Dustin shook his head.

"Give me my banana-" Steve took it back.

"It wasn't me!" I told them.

"Y/N-" Steve leaned in closer to try to intimidate. He was only inches away and I had to keep my eyes locked in on his.

"Steve, I swear-" I tried.

"Hello!" Robin interrupted all of us. "I can hear you. Actually, I can hear everything. You are all extremely loud." She said. "You think you have evil Russians plotting against our country, on tape, and you're trying to translate, but haven't figured out a word because you didn't realize Russians use an entirely different alphabet." She quickly said. "Sound about right?"

"We do know about the alphabet." I quietly added, pointing at the Russian translation book sitting on the table.

Robin gave me a look and then reached for the tape recording.

"Whoa! What do you think you're doing?" Steve quickly grabbed it before she could reach it.

"I wanna hear it." Robin said.

"Why?" Dustin questioned.

"Cause maybe I can help." She shrugged. "I'm fluent in four languages, you know." She added.
