[59] The New World

After the battle came a bitter winter. The country was covered in white snow. The people complained about the work they needed to do in order to clear out the snow. Thankfully, not every hero went back to their homes.

HOE is a non-profit organization that is partnered with the government. They require heroes to update their information and also require their descendants who have awakened their abilities to be registered.

Their main objective is to educate the heroes' progeny. This also means that they can still continue some of the former SCA duties, such as satisfying the heroes' desires.

Chang'e and Long Huo accompanied Lin Xiao as they waved goodbye to the dragon brothers. Since Long Tudi and Long Faxian had a child, they think it is better to go back in order to raise the child better. Anyway, they can always visit the earth again at any time.

Long Feng, who knew what was up, winked at his sweating brother. Long Huo gulped harder and did not speak. 

When they got back to the house, Lin Xiao saw their small backyard filled with roses and his friends and co-workers standing there waiting for them. They started cheering as Lin Xiao walked into the middle.

Long Huo quietly patted Chang'e and said his thanks. Actually, after the crisis was solved, Chang'e suddenly gave him a ring. Long Huo thought that Chang'e was proposing to him, so he made a sad face and said no. In the end, he was beaten up.

that Long Huo appeared and saved Lin Xiao, and Chang'e knew that Long Huo would love Lin Xiao as much as he loves him.

He didn't understand the significance until Long Feng explained that dragon clans mate for life, and the birth mark represents the dragon oath. oath is given to their mates, and if their mate is in a critical situation or has died, they can activate the oath and die in their mate's stead.

Chang'e was shocked. How come Long Huo casually placed that on Lin Xiao despite the fact that they are not mates? Such a silly dragon.

Long Feng laughed and said that they do not actually die after that, they will just return to being eggs. But after that, if they activate it again, that's when they will truly die.

So Chang'e immediately encouraged (threatened) Long Huo to propose after giving back the ring. This stupid dragon must become part of his family or else his foolishness will be taken advantage of by others.

But this made Long Huo find his courage to finally propose to Lin Xiao. Looking back when he first met Lin Xiao, he just really thought that Lin Xiao and him had great compatibility in bed. However, he would never say that. He was really a thoughtless scumbag at that time. Fortunately, he learned how to love Lin Xiao properly. 

Long Huo felt really happy that he now had a wife, and not just that, he also had a cute son and a brother (?). 

Having said that, Long Huo will never know that in the near future he will have to fight for the position as the "head" of the family and will also come to love Chang'e.
