Chapter 15: Power

After getting the kitty off his face, Alex helped clean up and started walking back home with his cat, fairy and new neighbor apparently.

"Just move somewhere else" said Alex.

"You would be defying the king then" said Rose.

"Who are you really?!!" yelled Alex.

"I told you, big secret" said Rose.

Alex grumbled the whole way home, he didn't even say bye to Rose and just parted ways with her. After saying hi to his mom, he went to his room and just immediately fell onto his bed.

"Why does she have to live near me?" asked Alex.

"If it's the king's order, she probably can't help it" said James.

"Even if it wasn't the king's order, she'd probably still harass me anyway" said Alex.

"Anyways master, not to ruin your mood but I'll be going away for 2 days on a business trip" said James.

"Business trip? What trip?" asked Alex.

"I'll be meeting potential new clients for my companies, they're on the other side of the world so its easier for me to get there much quicker by flying under my own power" said James as she fluttered her wings.

"What companies? What are you talking about?" asked Alex.

"Oh right, I never told you before. I'm the owner plus founder of a few companies. They're The Sebclair Bank, The Asparai Ballet, Logicaltech, Dragon's Den the restaurant and The Fullerton Claridge's Hotel chain" said James.

"Are you kidding?! Those places are so well known! Sebclair Bank has been very highly rated since its founding and its the oldest known bank in the kingdom, Asparai Ballet literally controls the dance world, Logicaltech has changed society because of Tecna and her inventions, Dragon's Den is always getting 3 Michelle stars for it's food and atmosphere and getting visited by VIP's and The Fullerton hotel.........the main place....the first location of the hotel got the first ever 6 star rating, celebrities like going there! You're telling me you actually own and founded all of them?!" asked Alex.

"Yes, well........Logicaltech is more like a joint business since me and Tecna created it together a very long time ago. So we decided to both be the bosses, Timmy is currently the overall top head of research and HR, the science world is also wrapped around his thumb because of it. I wanted them both to go to the meetings instead but they insisted that I'd be a better choice, whatever that means" said James.

"Ok yeah.........I guess I can believe you creating Sebclair Bank since the timing does match in the past and you have been active since the kingdom was first founded. Same thing with the Ballet company and hotel I suppose. Dragon's Den also makes sense since I've seen you cook and I was quickly convinced you knew what you were doing. But then why didn't you tell me?! And what's with the whole thing about you sleeping outside the whole time and wandering everywhere like you had no home before you met me?" asked Alex.

"Ah hahahaha........I guess I got tired of work that I decided to go on a vacation that had no decided end date and I also wanted to return to the wilderness and return to nature where fairies really belonged. Before I knew it, several thousands of years had passed and I still had no idea even though l do my own share of work occasionally as the boss while I was out in the wild" said James before she laughed.

Alex didn't know if whether he should laugh with his fairy or just stare at her for how ditzy she was behaving. Regardless he sighed and did his best to digest this new information.

"By the way, when you finish school and complete the right studies, I've been planning for a while now to hand over control of the hotels to you and name you the youngest hotel CEO in history" said James with a smile.
