The Date

"So is this technically our first date?"
"I guess so" Eddie shrugs as you cruise along the roads of Hawkins figuring out what to do for your first date.
"Oooh we could do pizza like you said!" You say excitedly
"Yeah...but your special I feel like I really gotta treat you" Eddie smirks giving you butterflies
"-yknow we could go Enzo's but I don't have the cash for that sweetheart...one day I will take you Princess" he says looking like a sad puppy dog
"It's okay Eddie you don't have to spoil me"
"Oh but it do" he quips back

Finally a few more minutes go by before you give up searching and grab a drive through take out.
"Hi- yeah- one urrr....y/n what you getting?"
"Shit urm strawberry shake!"
"Yeah one strawberry shake and a- chocolate shake" Eddie orders
"You want fries with that?"
"Please...yeah just the shakes and fries" Eddie smiled over at you and to proceed to the next window.

"Mmm shakes m fried" you dream
Eddie laughs a little "why you so excited?"
"Oh I always do this thing with my fires"
"Oh yeah" Eddie leans in eagerly
"Yeah! I dip my fries in my shake its sooooo good!" You say dreamily
"AAAWH GROSS!!" Eddie throws himself back
"Noo it's the best!" You try and convince Eddie

Once you had your food you parked up under a streetlight and began to snack on the food.

"I think we went about our date the wrong way" Eddie starts
"- I thought the sex was supposed to come after the food but I'm happy with my post sex shake n fries...is that gonna be our thing now?" He smiles looking over at you tenderly
"I agree we probably did everything in the wrong order but I like the satisfaction of food after sex" you both laugh awkwardly
"Hey now you have to try this..." you dip your fries in your shake and wave it in Eddie's face, who makes a crucifix out of his fingers and yells "stay back women!"
"No Eddie cmon try it" you smile

And Eddie bites onto the fries taking them from your fingers "mmmm" he growls making your stomachs do flips
"Maybe it just tastes so good because it came from you" he chuckles to himself.

You just stare at Eddie, by now you can tell he has a way of catching you off guard, a way that makes you completely vulnerable to him. Eddie stared back at you and the two of you have a moment just sitting there in each other's company.

"For once I didn't run away" Eddie says
"What do you mean run away?"
"I've been wondering about you for so long and today I finally managed to sum up the courage to do something dangerously spontaneous" he reasons as you just look on...
"Usually is see danger and just turn heal and run! ...I didn't run away this time..."
There's a moment of silence and realisation that Eddie wasn't just a wind up, he truly likes you

"I never saw myself as your type, I thought you'd be into girls that are-"
"-What? mean n scary?" He laughs
"Yeah mean n scary rocker girls" you sigh
"They're cool- I mean they're not at all my type tho"
"I guess opposites really do attract" you quip
"You were so cute back then with your strawberry milkshake please" Eddie mocks you lightly in a high pitched voice.
You laugh back pushing him away

"Yeah I like the cute girls, you were always staring at me and when you weren't looking I was always staring at you!" He brushed the hair from out your face and your blushing, your to shy to reply at this moment your just trying not to let out a happy squeal...

"And you were so good back there, honestly the best I've had, top notch" Eddie says in a low voice and gives an animated chef kiss making you laugh

" I had no idea what to do that's only like my second or third time..." you blush

"No fucking way y/n" Eddie looks stunned
"Yeahhh I'm not very good yet" you say shakily
"I'm so sorry if I made you uncomfortable-"
"No! You didn't at all I loved what happened"
Eddie smiles and sits back in his chair, you've finished eating by now.

Eddie is just watching you at you noisily Suck up last of your milkshake, Eddie laughs and you laugh back after catching him staring at you "c'mere" Eddie asks softly as you climb over and straddle his lap in the drivers seat, your back against the steering wheel. Eddie wraps his arms around you and brings you into a slow and romantic kiss. You cup his face with you hands your thumbs grazing over his cheek bones feeling every contour, bump, scar and blemish, all of his imperfections - perfection.

His hands wander up and down your back where he finds your waist and gives it a little squeeze before travelling back up to your hair playing with the strands, you both break away, you smile at Eddie and burry your face into the crook of his neck

"I don't mean to be soppy but this is really nice y/n" Eddie sighs
"I like it too" you yawn
"Hey are your tired?, wanna come back to mine" He whispers

"I can't I gotta go home my mum will wonder where I am..."
"Tell her your at a friends studying or something"

You nod and nuzzle your face further into Eddie's neck and he kisses you on the forehead

"Let's go home" you climb back into the passenger seat and Eddie starts the van

"You gonna tuck me in?" You say in a tiny voice

"Sure princess..."
