"No way.. There's NO way.." Youngjae exclaims the moment I pick up his video call.
I laugh excitedly. "I was thinking of sending you a gift, but then I thought why don't I just deliver it to you myself?"
He covers his mouth with his hand. "You're seriously coming? If this is a joke it's not funny."
"I'm serious, Jae! I finished my courses for the semester so I have three weeks until the next ones begin."
"Wait, how long are you staying?"
"A little over two weeks," I grin widely. We both collectively squeal out of joy and excitement.
"My heart is literally racing right now, oh my god. I won't be able to sleep until you're here, I'm too excited."
"Me too! I literally couldn't wait until tomorrow to tell you, I was too excited to see your reaction."
He breathes out in relief. "I'll finally see you again. I never thought it'd be so soon, I was set that we'd see each other in summer."
I smile and tell him, "I thought so too, but after I walked through the gate I realized I couldn't wait that long."
"I'm counting the minutes," he murmurs softly, hiding half his face on his pillow. I mimic him and lay down on my bed, body curled.
We talked until he almost fell asleep, and by that time I had to finish packing and fetch the train home. As I sat on the train, watching the snowy landscape pass by outside the window, I wondered what Seoul looked like this time of the year. I smiled to myself realizing after the thought crossed my mind that I'd soon find out myself.

A short'n'sweet chapter but we are now getting close to the end! 🥺 The plan is 2 more chapters but if the next chapter is as long as I think it will be, then I might have to divide it into 2 separate chapters -- so either 2 or 3 more chapters left 🥰 Ah, it's been such a journey!
