The two pirates awkwardly sat across from each other as they waited for Karl. Until SapNap decided to say something.

"Why'd you leave?" "What?"

SapNap glared at the other.

"Why.Did.You.Leave.The.Crew."

He pronounced each word with more venom then the last until Quackity could almost see the poison dripping from his tongue. The shorter narrowed his eyes.

"Some people don't want to steal and kill people, Captain." The title was mocking in the other's mouth and they both knew SapNap held no role over his head.

"So you ran away from us to live on a small merchant island with a pretty boy?"

SapNap said it like it would make Quackity realized how stupide he was in the crew's eyes but the ex-captain just shrugged.

"It was a better option then fearing you'd never see land again."

SapNap opened his mouth but Karl came through the door and walked over to them. He stood behind Quackity and leaned down, resting his chin on the other's head and lazy draping his arms around Quackity's shoulders. Quackity smiled softly at the other's actions before turning his attention back on SapNap and glaring.

"You're a coward Quackity HQ." "Oh please, I was more of a man then you ever will be too those men on that piece of driftwood."

SapNap snarled at the insult, quickly standing up from his seat and slamming his hands onto the scard wood table. "Keyword being 'was' you mutt! Those 'men' trusted you and would've followed you to the bottom of the sea! You left them like a coward and you'll die with no one knowing how you were."

He spoke quickly and angerly. The two looked at each other with nothing but murder in their eyes.

"Seems like your projecting~"

Karl sung quietly, SapNap quickly shooting a glare at the brightly colored merchant. "What." he hissed.

Karl smiled a little at him, not even flinching at the tone. "Well, it sounds to me like you have attachment issues SapNap and you're using your crew to seem like it wasn't mostly you who felt left behind."

The captain blinked, opening his mouth to defend himself but closing it again and looking down in shame, retreating back into his seat. Karl gave him a soft smile, walking over to the other's chair and sitting on the side of the table, looking at him. He cupped SapNap's chin and brushed his black hair behind his ears.

"You're lonely and you feel betrayed. You have an entire crew on your shoulders and you're about to snap from the pressure. You weren't prepared for the role placed on you so you take your anger and frustration out on Q. Right? Tell me if I missed anything."

Karl kept his voice kind and understanding while looking SapNap dead in the eyes. The Captain nodded and looked at the ground.

"That's all correct..." "Great! So now you both apologize and hug it out!"

The two looked at Karl, stunned and immediately shook their heads.

"Did I stutter?" He tilted his head to the side and smiling at the two though his voice sounded like a blade.

The two both stood up and walked up to each other, muttering small apologizes and the quickly hugging.

"Good, good. Would you two like some tea?" "Yes please honey!" "I don't really drink tea.."

SapNap mumbled but Quackity nudged his side and smiled at him.

"Try it man! It taste amazing!" "o-oh okay! Then sure!"

The three all sat down with Karl's homemade tea and talked until SapNap had to go back to his ship. (about three hours)
