i finally recovered a little bit, and started packing up my things. it wasn't really..well.. packing. but i was just throwing stuff into boxes. i couldn't help it. i was so furious. i was gonna move away from all my friends, my family, my home. i have lived in New Jersey for my whole life. but im about to lose that streak.

about a week passes by and i woke up to moving trucks, parking in our driveway. the day was here. i got up and changed into a black and white Metallica shirt, and blue jeans with a belt. i styled my curtain bangs to make them look..not as messy. then i grabbed my boxes and went downstairs. "hey y/n, how you feeling about today?" my mom asked with a calm voice., knowing i was upset.

"eh, i guess it's okay. i mean i guess i get to meet knew people?" i said, she knew i was lying. "okay! well let's hurry up then, their waiting." mom says while carrying boxes. i shove my boxes into the back of the moving van, and hopped into the car. mom had already booked a plane for work and it leaves tonight so she stayed at the house to help move the things.

the car ride was silent most of the time. the radio wasn't even on, so i turned on my walkman. then my step dad started taking "so, you guys uh ready for this? for the new change?" looking at both of us. me and dustin looked at each other. "not really." i said almost mumbling. "ah, well i guess you will get to meet new people. that's the fun part." he said. "well I think it's gonna be GREAT." dustin said with a smile across his face. i couldn't help but laugh at it. his smile is just adorable. thoughts started running through my head about the new school. but i didn't even know that i dozed off. a few hours later i felt someone shaking me. "y/n hey we are here!" dustin said. i slowly opened my eyes and started rubbing them when i saw the sign. Welcome To Hawkins.
