Chapter 11

Carlos's POV

The following day....

Today is Ben's coronation day and the day that we would set the villains free from the Isle of the Lost, Mal has decided to not use Siobhan in the plan and I was grateful because I heard about what happened yesterday to Siobhan and her family and that they had revealed their secret of their abilities to turn into lions at their own wills, it resulted in Siobhan roaring like a lion before she ran off into the forest with the rest of her family running after her, I just hope that she's okay today. Evie, Jay and I were standing on the baloney in our spots while we waited for the coronation to begin, I then looked down into the crowd below and I saw Siobhan talking to Jane before she looked up at me with a small smile on her face and I smiled back at her before I looked at Jay and Evie and the smile on my face disappeared once I saw the looks on their faces, they looked sad and nervous at the same time, I was sad that I would have to give up my life in Auradon after it was just seemingly to get started to get better for us, I was sad that we would have to give up our happiness after we had just found it and I was nervous for what we would have to do today, Jay, Evie and I then looked at each other and we were silently asking each other if we were ready for what was going to happen today. I then looked down at the crowd again and I saw Mal standing at the very front, only a few feet away from what the covered glass jar that held what our parents wanted but the look on Mal's face was nervous about this too, is this what we really wanted?, did we really want to take over the world or were we doing this for our parents?. 

The children's choir then started to sing and the trumpets sounded before the doors swung opened, I then looked away from Mal to see Ben making his way down the aisle and everyone bowed as he passed them. Fairy Godmother then took the crown off the king's head as Ben knelt  down once he had reached the steps, Fairy Godmother then placed the crown on Ben's head as Ben looked up to her before his father nodded in approval. The case was lifted off the wand and it was exposed now, Mal then looked up at us before she turned back around and Queen Belle had lifted the wand from the stand and she handed it to the Fairy Godmother who took the wand into her hands and Fairy Godmother turned to Ben before she asked him "Do you solemnly swear to govern the peoples of Auradon with justice and mercy as long as you shall reign?" Ben then nodded before he said to Fairy Godmother "I do solemnly swear" "Then it is my honour and my joy to bless our new king" Fairy Godmother said as she was going to officially make Ben, the new king of Auradon, someone's hand had reached out and they grabbed the wand and that was when the chaos had started. A ray of magic then shot out from the wand, breaking through the chapel's ceiling and it headed into an unknown direction and I recognised that the person was Jane before everyone else took some steps back away from Jane and she wasn't able to control the wand's magic as sparks came flying from the magical object before Fairy Godmother yelled at Jane in a frantic voice "Child, what are you doing?!" "If you won't make me beautiful, I'll do it myself!" Jane said to her mother as she desperately tried to hold onto the wand while Ben ran in front of Mal to protect her before Jane said "Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!" "Take cover!" Beast yelled as the sparks continued to fly out from the wand and they bounce across the walls before Mal pushed Ben and she went towards Jane and she grabbed a hold of the wand before Queen Belle yelled to her as she struggled to get the wand from Jane "Careful Mal!" 

Jane and Mal then wrestled for the wand as the sparks continued to fly but Mal was able to rip the wand out of Jane's grasp and she held the wand tightly in her hands as the sparks were no longer flying before Jane ran off to the side and I saw the fear, the horror and the shock on Siobhan's face while Mal looked down at the wand in her hands. Jay, Evie and I then ran down the balcony to join Mal before we heard Ben saying to Mal "Mal, give me the wand" "Stand back" Mal warned him as the doors opened and we ran down the aisle to find Mal holding the wand at arm's length in front of her but Ben ignored her and he reached out to her as he said to her "It's okay" "Ben, I said stand back!" Mal yelled at him before Audrey stepped forward and she shouted "I told you so!" Mal then turned to her left and she pointed the wand directly at her which made her family scream and they stepped back before I said to Mal once Evie, Jay and I had reached her "Let's go!" "Revenge time" Jay mumbled before Mal looked at Ben and i looked at Siobhan and I noticed that she had a pleading almost broken look on her face as she stared at me before Ben said to Mal as I looked back at Mal and Ben "Do you really want to do this?" "We have no choice, Ben!, our parents-" "Your parents made their choice, now you make yours" Ben said to Mal with a raised voice as he looked deeply into her eyes. Mal then stayed silent as she looked at Ben, his parents and Fairy Godmother before she said "I think that I want to be good" Ben then said to Mal "You are good" "How do you know that?" Mal shouted at Ben in frustration and confusion as she was still gripping the wand tightly before Ben said to her "Because-because I'm listening to my heart" Mal then said while she turned around to face Evie, Jay and I "I want to listen to my heart too and my heart is telling me that we are not our parents" Mal then looked at Jay and he had his eyes on her with a solemn expression on his face before she said to him "I mean, stealing things doesn't make you happy, tourney and victory pizza with the team makes you happy" Jay then smiled and he chuckled lightly at Mal's words while he bumped his shoulders with my shoulders before Mal looked at me and she said to me "And you, scratching dude's belly makes you happy, who would've thought?, and Siobhan, she makes you really happy" I then sent Mal a smile before I looked over at Siobhan and she smiled back at me before I looked back at Mal and she looked at Evie before she said to her "And Evie, you do not have to play dumb to get a guy, you are so smart"
