Chapter Thirty One

Later That Night

You walk into the living room, "Okay, after much convincing Morgan is now asleep... I hope." 

Pepper looks up from her book.

"Little Monkey didn't want me to leave.", You added while sitting down.

"She just loves you." Pepper replied with a smile.

"Yeah, I know. 100% the favourite aunt. Totally doesn't make Nat jealous.", you joke.

Pepper laughed. 

"What are we talking about ladies?" Tony walks into the room.

"Just how Y/N is Morgan's favourite." Pepper replied.

"I think we've known that since day one, when Y/N was the only one who could get her to sleep." Tony added with a smile.

"And that was without using my powers, not that I have that ability anymore, but still.", you bragged.

"Although the mind reading did come in handy." Pepper added.

You laugh slightly, "That is true". You hated using that power, but since it was the only one you could use, you decided it would help you feel like your old self, and it did.

Tony kept staring into his office, he seemed distracted which you and Pepper caught on. You nudged her to say something.

"Everything okay, Tony?" She asked.

Still looking into his office, "I figured it out." "Time travel" 

Pepper looked at him confused, "Are you serious?", you reply after reading his mind.

"Yep." He replied.

"What?" Pepper asked.

"Time travel." Tony replied.

"That's amazing." Pepper replied. Very impressed of her Husband.

"I don't have to do it." Tony sat down next to you.

"You have to." Pepper protested.

"...I know", he replied.

You sat there, very quiet. Unsure of what to think.

Pepper places her hand on your arm, "I know your scared." 

"I'm terrified. I just don't want anything bad happening. Time travel shouldn't be mess with.", your reply. 

"If everything is done correctly, everything will be fine." Tony reassured you.

"I know you would love to see Bucky again.", Pepper added.

You heard this excuse from Steve which infuriated you, but hearing it from Pepper was different. It made you realise they were both right.

"You know I'm right.", she gave you a small smile.

You sighed and smile. You would love to see him again. "Yeah." 

"Compound tomorrow?" Tony asked.

You nod, "Yeah, let's do this." 

"Aunty Y/N", a small voice announced itself behind you three.

You turn around to Morgan sat on the steps. 

"What are you doing up little miss? I thought you were asleep.", you said.

"Clearly not." She replied sarcastically.

Pepper laughed, "Oh lovely, she picked up Y/N's sarcasm" 

Morgan tilted her head and pulled a face causing Tony to laugh.
