"I can't believe we have to go home tomorrow," Hermione had said with an underlying sad tone in her voice. The week had been everything she had dreamed of and nothing like she expected rolled into one big bundle of happiness, love and a lot of sex. The last morning of the trip had come by way too fast for Hermione's liking but she was nonetheless up earlier so they wouldn't waste a moment of their final full day. "Bella?" She turned in bed and addressed the large mass of dark curls that were faced the other way, softly snoring. She reached out and touched Bella's back, tickling her fingers down the older woman's spine.

"Hmm?" A sleepy mumbled response came from the lump. Bella was laying on her stomach but turned her head, eyes still closed to face in the direction of the noise.

Hermione got a little closer, "are you up?" She reached out and brushed back some of her curls.

Bella's eyes slowly fluttered open and at the first sight of girlfriend, a bright smile erupted on her face. "Morning," her raspy deep morning voice was something Hermione would miss terribly after tomorrow.

"Hi," she was still lightly brushing her fingers up and down the older woman's spine.

Bella sighed, "you're going to put me back to sleep, love," she closed her eyes and nestled her face into her pillow.

"You're cute when you are sleepy."

"Cute?" Bella smirked, eyes still closed. "I've been called many things in my day, pet but never cute."

"As your girlfriend, officially," she leaned in and kissed the corner of Bella's mouth, "I have the right to determine if you are cute. And by my standards, you are very cute."

"I'm too tired to argue with you so I accept my fate."

Hermione giggled a soft feminine giggle that had sleepy Bella smiling, "too tired to argue? Who are you and what have you done with my girlfriend?"

"She's right here," Bella shifted so Hermione would have to lay on her back as the older woman wrapped her arm and right leg around the brunette holding her captive like a snake. "Just a little tired from the complete fucking workout you put me through last night."

"I didn't hear you complaining much at the time," Hermione kissed the top of Bella's head.

"And you never will," she chuckled deeply, running her hand down Hermione's stomach, feeling the muscles contract as her fingers moved. "Why are you up so early? It's a vacation, pet. We should be sleeping in."

"I thought it was a business trip."

"It was never a business trip," she quietly replied. She felt her girlfriend smile against the top of her head. "It turned into so much more."

"And how are we meant to leave tomorrow?"

Bella rested her chin on Hermione's chest and looked up at her, "I thought we weren't talking about that yet."

"We still have the whole day, right?"

"And tomorrow."

Hermione turned and looked out the window, "i'm not ready for this to be over."

"I know, pet." Bella kissed Hermione's collarbone. "Neither am I."

"I should be mad at you, you know?"

Bella lifted herself up on her elbow and looked down at the brunette and raised an eyebrow, "how did you manage to come to that conclusion?"

Hermione shrugged one shoulder, "you've ruined Italy for me. I'll never be able to come here and not see you everywhere. Just walking around the museums with you yesterday, I was mystified by how this city screams your name."
