"UM HI HELLO SIT THE FUCK DOWN" I heard my mom yelling. I left out the room to see who she was talking to. "MAAD" she yelled "MAAD" her yelling grew louder as I walked closer "Mommy stop yelling" she looked down at me from the ladder.
"MAAD COME HERE I KNOW YOU HEAR ME DUDE" she yelled ignoring me "Ma" I laughed.
My dad came slow strolling in the living room. He wasn't biologically my dad, my real father was murdered when I was four. But he was definitely my dad, I loved him like he was. "Sy what chu want man" he dragged making me laugh.
He pulled me into a hug and stood with his arm wrapped around my shoulder. "I can't put the star up top the tree" she whined. "Get up on the top" he said plainly "Semaad I did and I almost fell" she stressed rubbing her forehead.
"Don't know why you even got up here you crippled as hell" he mumbled helping her off the ladder "where is yo damn boot" he grilled her "I don't need to wear that" she rolled her eyes. I just stood, watching them laughing here and there when one of them said something funny.
They finished setting up the tree and my phone started to ring. "Hello?" I answered smiling "open the door bless" my cousin Amiir huffed squinting his eyes because of the sun. I walked to the door opening it wide for my family, "MY LULU BABYYYYY" my aunt Riiah pulled me into a hug squeezing me hard. "Hi auntyyyy" I smiled letting her vanilla perfume fill my nose "I missed you, so bad" I whispered into her hair. My parents were always different when the rest of my family was around, it felt.... different.
Later on that evening
Omniscient POV
everyone stepped downstairs one at a time gathering into the living room, "Okay, everybody find one gift with their name on it and go back to the couch we're going to open them at 12" Syrahbi said cheerfully. They sat around for the next few hours watching Christmas movies before the door bell rang, Blessing stood up to answer it "no lulu sit down" Mariiah said quickly Syrahbi got up to answer the door. No one was there, just a box on the door mat
She picked it up and put it on a table that was in the foyer. Coming back into the living room with a smile on her face, "who was at the door mommy?" Blessing asked as she leaned on her brother. "It was the wrong house" she smiled small.
The rest of the night went by and everyone enjoyed themselves, the kids went up to their rooms and the guest rooms to get ready for the day tomorrow, they didn't get a chance to open the gifts so Syrahbi left them infront of everyone's door before going back downstairs. "Who the fuck was at the door" Mariiah hush yelled as everyone stood around the island. Syrahbi went to the foyer to grab the box.
"I'm tired of this shit" she said putting it down on the island "have you opened any?" Sydell asked "hell no, I throw them out every year. Why I'm the only one who get these shits?" Syrahbi asked angrily "Ian even kill her" she whispered. "Well are we even sure she's dead? At this point" Esperanza rolled her eyes "I watched aunt tee kill her with my own fucking eyes, bitch it was blood splatter all over that room she had to call Akeen for a clean up job" she said making Sydell scrunch his face up "I never knew that, y'all funny" he shook his head. "It's not the time right now Dell, you take that up with Aunt Tee, not me she called him".
"Aye I'm finna open it" Ceivonni snatched the top off fast before anyone could pull it away. "It ain't shit but a teddy bear" Semaad said scratching his head. "Give me the shit" Syrahbi said grabbing a knife from the Knife holder. She stabbed into the stuffed animal wildly while everyone looked at her like she was crazy.
"Sy, what is you doing?" Armani asked what everyone was thinking. "Before all that shit went down at the baby shower me and Tula used to run with this girl, we used to call her Cheena" she started to talk as she sifted through the bear.
"She had these almond eyes and they were so pretty but the bitch was ugly, either way her and tulani used to fuck on this dude together and he put them on game about this" she said vaguely. "About what bitch?" Yelliana leaned in.
"He used to send these teddy bears to his clients who were either ratting or opping out, and they would be bugged so he could listen to everything they were saying" she paused "and on a real slimy day, he would hide a chip in the bow and it would fall out. The person would think he sent the bear by accident, plug it in the computer thinking they were about to come up on all his connects and the shit would crash the computer, make it blow crazy" she finished, she ripped the bear inside out going through all the stuffing.
"That's it?" Mariiah and Esperanza said at the same time "it would send him a beep like, next thing you know niggas storming in the crib killing everything" she stopped and looked around.
"And how you know this to be true?" They all asked. "Cause I helped them fix the software" She said nonchalantly.
"BITCH YOU DID WHAT?" Esperanza yelled loudly "shut the fuck up before you wake up the kids" Mariiah whisper yelled "what the fuck Sy!" She said "I did the shit 20 years ago before I was even pregnant I was Jackson at the fucking time how would I fucking know that it would come back to bite me in the ass, Ian know she was gon die ian know nun of this shit was gon happen so how is this my fault?" She asked "you.... You right I'm sorry Sy" They said together shaking their head.
"I'm finna be back" she said standing at the island "where is you going? By yourself?" Semaad asked her "to go handle what the fuck I did right? Since this shit all my fault ian fucking kill that girl, I would've been happy if she would've killed me. FUCK!" She yelled breaking down.
"We ain't mean it that way" Esperanza said for the both of them. "You did but it's okay, I know how to handle mine" she said. She threw out the box, the stuffing and the teddy bears hollowed out fur. There was a mic and a chip left on the island. Everyone stood around shocked, not believing that there was even anything in the bear.
She snatched it off the table and walked out the house. Everyone stood there looking at each other stunned.
The next morning
7:30 Am

"Aye where my momma at?" I asked busting in bless room. "Rah get the fuck out, it's too early" she said putting the pillow over her face. "You too grumpy come onnnnnnnn I brought yo gift in here".
She sat up snatching the gift out my hand. "Ion know where mommy is now get yo ass outta here" she shooed me away.
I walked down into the kitchen because I heard voices coming from down there. "Uncle Dell you know where my momma at?" I asked as he sat at the island eating cereal. "She'a be back later she been gone since last night" he said making me scrunch my face up "Sydell shut the fuck up" my Aunt Yena narrowed her eyes at him.
I went back up to bless room to tell her this weird shit but she wasn't in there.
Wtf going on. I walked back to my room laying down, I woke back up at 10:30.
