"Get on the counter," Eddie demanded. Harper did as he said and hopped up on the counter. Eddie grabbed a towel from next to the shower and wet it with some water. He squeezed himself in between her legs so he could get a better grip on her. He then grabbed one of Harper's arms carefully and started wiping the drink off of her.
Harper looked down at Eddie's hands, his grip on her arm was firm yet careful. After he finished wiping the drink off of one of her arms he moved on to the next, "How many drinks did you actually have." He asked, quietly.
Harper shrugged, "A few... like eight... or more." Eddie let out a sigh, still looking down at her arm. Once he finished he leaned back.
"You have some on your shirt and pants. You think you can get that?" Eddie asked, glancing up at her, his eyes soft. Harper nodded and Eddie handed her the towel. She glanced down at her shirt before pressing the towel against its thin material, the water soaked in but the red color didn't leave.
Harper kept trying to get most of the drink out before moving onto her pants. She didn't notice Eddie's gaze. His eyes traced over her body, as he tried to pull his eyes away from her slightly see-through shirt, her lacy white bra was visible from underneath.
He quickly pulled his gaze away when he heard sniffling coming from the girl in front of him, "What's wrong?" He asked, leaning forwards and pressing his hand against the counter, next to her leg. He suddenly felt bad for thinking about the thoughts he did while the girl in front of him was clearly having a crisis.
Harper chucked the towel into the sink angrily before slumping forward into Eddie's shoulder, "It's not f*cking coming out." She said before leaning back once more and burying her face in her hands, wiping away the tears as they fell.
Eddie lightly grabbed her wrists pulling her hands away from her face, "Hey- it's okay." He said as he grabbed the towel, he wrung it out before getting more water on it. He placed one of his hands on Harper's thigh while cleaning her jeans with the towel in his other hand, "How do you always end up in these situations?" He asked, chuckling lightly. It seemed as if the stain wasn't going to come off anytime soon.
The girl in front of him let out a frustrated sigh, "It's so stupid." She crossed her arms as Eddie tried to get the stain on her other pant leg, "I came to the party with Steve and Robin, and both of them leave. They didn't even let me get a word in. Steve left and told me to go with Robin but she had already left, so I was just stuck here alone."
"They sound like some pretty sh*tty friends," Eddie commented, leaning away from the girl and placing the towel in the sink.
Harper shook her head, "They aren't that bad. I really love them but they weren't thinking right tonight." She sighed.
Eddie chuckled before realizing his hand was still on Harper's thigh, he removed it, "So how were you gonna get home tonight?" He asked before pulling away and leaning against the wall behind him. His eyes glanced over the intoxicated girl's figure. His face went slightly red as he realized he was staring. He quickly redirected his gaze to her eyes.
"I dunno." Harper shrugged, "I was gonna hope that Nancy Wheeler was here." She looked up at him, "But I haven't seen her all night."
"Makes sense but... she left a while ago." Eddie explained, "Maybe we should get you out of here? What do you think?" He asked. Harper nodded before hopping off the counter. Eddie looked down at the girl, noticing her shirt was still soaked and very see-through. He quickly pulled off his jackets and handed her the leather jacket while putting back on his jean jacket. He placed the jacket over her shoulders before unlocking the door.
