Chapter 14

2 months later in the infinite palace

Over the last two months Gyokko and Hantengu were burnt by the sun. Now Nakime is uppermoon four, Daki and Gyutaro are uppermoon five, and Kaigaku is uppermoon six. They quickly found that Akiko and Akaza and Douma's child seem to have a natural bond. They found out because whenever they were at most about six feet apart Akiko would start kicking,giggling, and reaching at Akaza's stomach, and the baby in Akaza's stomach started kicking in Akiko's direction so hard and fast that it was extremely painful and if he was standing he would fall down. Now in current time, Akaza is giving birth.

With everyone outside the waiting room

They are listening to the pain filled screams coming from Akaza. Due to the screaming the Kibutsuji's are in Akiko's room playing to help keep both the kids calm. "Do you think he is gonna be ok?" Kaigaku asked, holding onto qGyutaro. "His body-" Kokushibou was cut off. "AAAAAAGGGGGGHHHHHHH!!!" Akaza screamed. "His body is younger so it's gonna be more painful for him than it was for Tanjiro." Kokushibou explained. "AAAAGGGGHHHH!" Akaza screamed again. "Does anyone know what names they planned?" Daki asked. Everyone shook their head no. "AAAAGGGGHHHH AAAAHHH!" Akaza screamed. "Do you know if he is gonna be ok, Koku?" Kaigaku asked. "He should be. But it will most-" Kokushibou was cut off. "AAAAAAAAAGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHH!!" Akaza screamed. "Most likely take a bit longer to heal than it did for Tanjiro." Kokushibou said. "AAAAAAAAAAGGGGGggggghhhhhhhhh!" Akaza screamed the loudest yet then quieted down. They were then able to hear a baby crying from inside the room. "Baby." Daki said, jumping. The crying stopped, and a few seconds later Nakime opened the door. "You guys can come in but be quiet." Nakime said. They all entered and looked over to the bed. Douma was feeding his and Akaza's baby in his arms while Akaza was asleep on his shoulder. "Baby name." Kaigaku and Daki said together quietly. "Her name is Hanako Hashibira. We decided to use my last name because we agreed for Akaza to take my last name when we get married one day." Douma said, looking lovingly at both Hanako and Akaza. "How did Akaza agree to that?" Kokushibou asked. "It was his idea." Douma said, taking the now empty bottle out of Hanako's mouth. "Can you guys come back in at least an hour? These two need sleep." Douma said. "Sure, see you later." Nakime said, pushing everyone out and closing the door behind her.

An hour and a half layer back in the clinic room

Akaza had recently woken up and was holding Hanako who also woke up, crying a bit out of happiness. Hanako has Douma's skin, Akaza's marks, Douma's rainbow eyes, Akaza's pink hair with blonde highlights. Hanako was holding one of Akaza's fingers with one hand and one of Douma's fingers with the other, she was switching between looking at Akaza and Douma, she was making happy baby noises. There was a knock on the door. "Come in." Akaza called. The Kibutsuji's came in, Tanjiro holding Rui, and Muzan holding Akiko. "Cute." Rui said, referring to Hanako. "Hey, Akaza are you ok?" Tanjiro asked, him and Muzan walking over and sitting in chairs near their bed. "I'm fine, giving birth was painful though." Akaza said. "He broke both of my hands multiple times because of how hard he was squeezing them from the pain." Douma said. "Don't worry, it is painful but happy in the long run." Tanjiro said, everyone laughed. Hanako and Akiko looked at each other then Akiko started reaching for Hanako, smiling and giggling, while Hanako let go of her parents fingers, started reaching for Akiko, and started making happy baby noises. Akiko was on Muzan's lap and kept almost falling due to how much she was moving, worrying the others. "Aki." Muzan said. The two girls looked at him. "I know you're excited but you need to calm down." Muzan said. There was another knock at the door. "Come in." Akaza called. Gyutaro, Kaigaku, and Daki came in. "Little Hanako is awake." Daki said, happy. "Hanako?" Tanjiro asked. "Yeah, her name is Hanako Hashibira." Douma said, running a hand down Hanako's face. "That's a good name." Muzan said. "Thank you Master." Akaza and Douma said. 'Wait a minute. That's the same last name as Inosuke. I'll just ask later.' Tanjiro thought to himself. "Can I hold her?" Kaigaku asked. "Sure." Akaza said, handing Hanako to Kaigaku.

A few hours later, after almost everyone has gone to bed, outside Douma and Akaza's room

"Hey Douma, I need to ask you something." Tanjiro said, stopping Douma and Akaza right before they went into their room. "Sure." Douma said, turning to Akaza. "I'll be in there soon honey." Douma said to Akaza, giving him a kiss. "Ok." Akaza said, going into the room, and closing it behind him. "What is it TanTan?" Douma asked. "Your last name is Hashibira, correct?" Tanjiro asked. "Yes, why?" Douma asked. "One of the demon slayers that Rui plays with, his name is Inosuke Hashibira. Do you know him?" Tanjiro asked. "I helped take care of him before he was even able to walk because I briefly dated his mother sixteen years ago. I killed her though. After that I have no clue what happened to him." Douma said. "Oh, why does he have your last name?" Tanjiro asked. "Apparently his father wasn't a good person so she asked if he could use my last name." Douma said. "Ok, have a good day." Tanjiro said, going back to his room. "Good day." Douma said, going into his room. "What was it?" Akaza asked. "He was just asking me about a kid with the same last name as me, so I told him the story." Douma said, getting into bed. "Would you like to meet him?" Akaza asked. "I'm ok with it, but he wasn't even able to walk when I killed his mother and left. We have Hanako and I don't know this kid or am related to him." Douma said, falling back on the bed. "Yes, but I think you should meet the kid if you want to. He is sixteen now, right?" Akaza said, cuddling Douma. "Yeah, I'll think about it." Douma said, wrapping his arms around Akaza. The two started making out, and Douma got a bit touchy as it got heated. Akaza separated "Nothing past kissing for a month." Akaza said. "Why~" Douma pouted. "Because I just gave birth a few hours ago. My body needs to heal." Akaza said. "Fine." Douma said, holding Akaza closer and stuffing his face into Akaza's neck. "You big baby." Akaza said.
