The Other Heroes of Olympus Book Two; The Vengeance

Percy

The encounter with Tony Stark had been better than Percy had expected.

When he got to the top of Half Blood Hill, there he was, donned in his Iron Man suit. He waved at all of them, and put his helmet up.

"Captain. Myron. nice to see you guys again," he said. "Uh, Myron, I don't think these two have met me. How about a proper introduction?"

"Oh, yeah. Tony, this is Percy, and that's Annabeth. Like you, they save the world," Myron said.

Tony reached out to shake their hands, but the magical border restrained him. "You going to let me in?" he asked in a joking matter.

Percy thought he should be a good enough host. "I, Percy Jackson, son of Poseidon, grant Tony Stark access to camp."

Tony walked in with ease, and then shook their hands. "Pleasure to meet you both," he said. He looked over at Myron. "Any place where I can put this? The flight traffic was terrible."

Myron pointed downhill, and waved for Tony to follow. "Down here. I'll show you," he said. "Percy, Annabeth, why don't you show the Captain around. He'll be staying in my cabin for the summer, actually."

"No problem," Percy said. He wouldn't want to pass up on that kind of opportunity.

Percy thought it would be nice enough to strike up a conversation. "So, you're a soldier," he said. Sure, it was the obvious, but it was a start.

"Yep," he said. "Knew Myron about a couple years ago when he had his little accident. And, yes, I know about the Arc Reactor as well."

"And, you know, can you help us with the war?" Annabeth asked. "You seem to know a lot of strategies. Could be mistaken for a child of Athena."

"Sure," he said. "You guys seem to be in a bit of a knot you can't untie."

Things were pretty silent after that, and then Ananbeth excused herself. And it was just the Captain and Percy left in the Hephaestus Cabin, the whirring of machinery in the distance.

"Thanks for saving my butt back there," he said.

"No problem," Rogers said. "It was my honor."

It was after this that all Hades broke loose.
