The meeting was kind of depressing. Leo had never seen Kronos, but he had an idea after people described him. And also besides the time he saw him last year in his new skin.
He was in the forges, trying to make a Swiss Army knife that could literally be as many weapons as you think it could produce. He could never get the blade sharp enough, or get the flamethrower to work at all. Now he knew how his brothers and sisters felt when the Curse of Cabin 9 had been rolling around, on his first day at camp. Now he had a feeling Kronos as cursing them so he could be unstoppable.
Leaving the forges to him would be a good idea before he got too frustrated, so he left. Just then, Jason and Piper were arm in arm, Piper fully on her feet. . Leo went to turn around to the arena, but, just as Leo thought he would, Mr. I'm-So-Perfect, caught him. "Hey, Leo. We were just going to the docks for some canoeing. You want to come?"
In your dreams, you walking lightning rod, Leo thought.
"Nah, man. I'm all good," he replied. He wished Calypso were here, but she took a job at Olympus, and she wouldn't be back until next year. Plus, with Myron on his little adventure, there wasn't anything to do, since they usually did something together with Johnathon. Plus, war prep wasn't exactly on Leo's top 10.
And, of course, Jason kept going on the subject. "Dude, what'ts been going on lately? You haven't even cracked a grin lately."
Annabeth came over, and must have heard. "Maybe that's a good thing," she said.
"Annabeth, maybe this is serious," Piper said. "He could have something wrong wit him."
"Guys!" Leo shouted. "This isn't important. I'm just so bored!"
They all were quiet now. Maybe Leo shouted a bit too loud.
"Dude, just ask me, and I can always arrange something," Jason said. "Plus, I can bring you to someone who's an expert on fun."
"Yeah, who?" Leo asked, a bit sarcastically. "Clovis?"
"Nope. Just come with me. Piper, you mind if we can hold this off a bit? I'll be right back."
"No problem, Jason. I'll see you in a bit, then," she replied.
Jason waved his hand for Leo to follow. When they stopped, they were in front of the Big House. Oh, great, Leo thought. I'm going to play cards with Chiron.
They went up the stairs to the patio, and they went in the door.
"Boys, what are you doing inside?" Chiron asked from his magic wheelchair, reading a .
"Where's Tony staying, Chiron?" Jason asked. "We need to ask him a question."
"Ah, yes. Mr. Stark. Down the hall, to the left," he replied.
"Thanks, Chiron. C'mon, Leo," Jason said. They went down the hall, took a left, and sure enough, Tony Stark was tinkering with something, almost like Leo. But with a goatee, and much smarter.
Jason knocked on the open door, but Tony must have had the music he was listening to up really loud, as he didn't turn from what he was working on.
"Hold on a sec, Leo," Jason said. He went over to Tony, and sparked him in the back. Leo could even see where he burned the back of his shirt.
Tony jumped from his seat, and turned to the two of them. He took out his headphones, and approached them.
"Okay, you've got my attention now. So what is it?" he asked.
"Leo here is completely bored out of his mind. Got any ideas?" Jason asked.
Tony rubbed his goatee. "I have an idea, but you have to be careful."
