After we got my dodge Jace looked it over and made sure it was good for racing. But of course it was good, I kept it up to par myself. "Don't show off to much skill there Layla, they may start to figure out who you really are." Jace commented. I rolled my eyes.

"Fat chance, I'm not going to have to use much skill against these noobies." I pointed at one. "His cars going to blow up within the first ten seconds," I pointed to another. "He's to over confident." And in pointed to Jake. "He's... I don't know yet but we will have to find out." I said, gazing at him.

I got into my car and rolled up to the starting line, Jace walking up next to me car. "Good luck. Not that you will need it." He grinned and I grinned back.

"I think I'm going to try to take the top spot from Mists. Think I got a chance?" I chuckled looking at the rode in front of me waiting for a answer from Jace.

"Fat chance. Your not Mists tonight." He winked and walked away back to my other car he'd drove to the races. Which I didn't really care. It was good to show it off and make people think Mists was really here watching the races.

"Everyone know the stakes?" The girl wearing almost nothing walked into the middle of the rode. "1,000 dollars." She said. "From each racer to the winner."

That'd mean 3,000 to the winner. Wow. These noobie races didn't pay much. Oh well money was money.

"Hold on! We have a last minute entry. Everyone make room on the starting line." I watched a green car pull up next to me. That's Will's car. Hold up! My brother is not racing.

I stepped out of my car and looked at the mostly naked girl. "Hold on! I need to speak with this racer!" I announced. Being I wasn't in my Mists get up I was ignored. But I soon walked up to the girl and stared her right in the eye. "Let me talk to him, or your job is gone. Got it?" Mists was the one who came up with the idea for noobie races and I was the one to hire her for the job of starting races. I also paid her a pretty penny for doing these races.

She nodded, by the look in her eyes she found out who I was. But clearly she was to scared of me and wouldn't tell anyone. I walked over to my brothers car and knocked on the window. "Down now." He obeyed. "What are you doing racing?" I narrowed my eyes at him.

"I need money to take care of my car. This is the best way. Wait. What are you doing here?" He asked.

"I'm always here. This is where I go at night. Accept I'm not me. I'm normally Mists." I said. His eyes widened.

"Your the Mists?" He asked. I nodded.

"How do you think I make money to support us?" I asked him. "Pull out of the race now. You don't know what your doing. I do." I told him.

"No, I want to race this one time. I won't get hurt." He said. My eyes softened. A tear ran down my cheek.

"I can't lose anyone else." I said.

"You wont." And with that he rolled up his window and I walked back to my car. I sat down and waved to the girl, telling her I was ready... I was not ready. My eyes were a complete blur. Something was going to happen. I could tell. There was no preventing it.

"Go!" The girl yelled and I took off, I decided not to hold back. I was in front, way ahead of everyone and I hurt the explotion from the guys car. Called it.

I was driving along, no one even close to me. When I went to go drift a corner I realized there was something wrong with my car when I felt a jolt. Shit! I went flying into the side of the mountain, hitting head on.

I moaned there was a huge pain in my neck and leg. "Jace.." I called on a walky talky he put in my car.

"Layla?" He asked. "What's wrong."
