I was riding with Lucus, my eyes watching the road for people we were of course on main road and the idiot was going about 80. I felt like I was going to die. And I didn't say that much. He was one of the worst drivers on a main street I've ever seen.

He was a bit timid when it came to the corner, even though we were going 80 it was going to take forever to get there that's when I finally said something. "Lucus. Pull the fuck over and let me in the drivers seat. Like now. You drive like my - someone's grandma." I said, I changed that statement becuase I didn't have a grandmother to speak of. I didn't know her on my mom's side or my dads side.

"Ugh fine." He said and pulled the car over and he got out as I crawled over the seat and put my seat belt on adjusting the seat to the right height for me. And making sure I knew where everything was so I could get to it quickly without doing something wrong.

I grinned and looked over at him. "Ever ride with a champion?" I said. He looked terrified. Maybe it was my grin. Sweet!

I put the car into drive and took off. This wasn't a bad car. I could tell it was a custom and I really liked it. It was nothing compared to my racing car though.

I was already hitting 90 and weaving through the streets. "This is fun? Isn't it?" I asked him. "Do you happen to have any lollipops?"

I looked over at him, with one hand on the wheel and not looking at the road. I knew the road all to well to look. "Put your eyes on the road! And your other hand on the- oh never mind. Your arm has something wrong with it doesn't it." He questioned.

I shrugged it off and looked at him. "Lollipops?!" I asked.

"Oh yeah." He reached into his glove box and tried handing it to me but I eyed him.

"Unwrap it and put it in my damn mouth dumbass." I said opening my mouth.

He hesitated and put the lollipop into my mouth. Mmm. Cherry. I nodded a thanks to him and kept driving. My eyes scanning the road for any people. I wasn't going to be hitting someone today and face charges for murder...

It was a quick drive with me driving now, I didn't feel like I was going to die.. - Lucus on the other hand... Heh'. My fault I kinda scared him when I was pretending to hit a dog but quickly swerved knowing I would miss it. He almost had a heart attack.

We finally got to the track and I looked around. I seen Jace and Jake standing at gun point of the masked girl and her men. "Do you have a gun?" I asked. I had parked back a little bit so they couldn't see us.

"Yeah duh. I'm a racer of course I have a gun. I have three actually." He answered.

I nodded and out my hand out for him to give me one, he obeyed. I could still shoot even with one arm I had trained myself enough to do something like that. I hoped.

I got out of the car and told Lucus to do the same. I hope be wasn't stupid and would sneak up on them sence I didn't tell them that's what I was doing.

I walked slowly and Jace spotted me but I gave him the eye so he didn't look back at me, in case he gave me away. I finally heard what they were saying. "Where the hell is Mists money." The girl spoke in a harsh tone.

I finally got up the hill and was behind the girl. Once I did something to her all gun point would be on me, but it was worth it. I ran up with no sound to my feet and slammed her upside the head with my gun knocking her out cold.

I seen both gun men point at me, then I heard a shot being fired. Lucus had taken out one. And I got the other. They were wounded, but not dead. And we had to go.

"Grab the girl and let's get going!" I yelled at all of them.

I ran down the hill and got into the car, in the drivers seat. Jake had the girl and Lucus followed us. Jace grabbed his car and took that.

I put the car into drive and we were off. I kept shifting and going faster until I topped out the speed on the car. Adrenaline pumping I brought my possibly broken arm up to the wheel and started to drive like I would at a race. We needed to get far from here and we couldn't go home. To many people had seen me coming this way. We needed to ditch the car and get out of here. I hoped to the high Hills Jace knew enough to follow me. And knew enough to try to keep up.

When I figured we were far enough away I pulled off into a tunnel that was no longer in use and breathed. Putting my head on the steering wheel for a few minutes.

"Layla?" Jake asked as I lifted my head from the wheel. "What do we do with her?" He asked as he looked down at the girl.

Great. I forgot about that. "We drop here here and let her wonder where she is. She won't have the balls to call the cops since she was the one stealing money in the first place." I said with a shrug.

Jace pulled up behind me and I got out of the car running over to his. "We need to leave. And sooner then I thought." I said with a whisper. Lucus didn't need to know Jace, Jake and I were all leaving for a different continent. Or leaving at all. We would just simply disappear.

We left the girl, dropped Lucus off at the shop and drove back to my house.

I was so glad to be home. And my phone rang. It was a number I hadn't seen before. I answered it.

"Hello?"

There was a long pause then it became a voice I've heard before. Liam.

"Hey. Layla right?" He asked.

"Yep you got it." I said.

We talked for a while and I had a date with him a day before we left for Tokyo. Maybe it will work out with him. But tonight I just had to focus on the race tonight. My last race as Mists in America.
