Jace's POV

I pushed Jake away from me and grabbed my keys before helping him up. We were about to walk out the door when I heard a thud. My eyes widened as I looked around the room, then I remembered Layla already left the house.

I ran as fast as I could to the door and looked around. Layla was gone. There was blood. And there was a note.

I bent down and picked up the note, Jake appeared behind me. "What is it-" he paused as he looked down at the steps to where the blood was. "Is that?" I nodded.

I read the note.

It said: I have little Mists with me. If you want her back, have her brother get the money out of her bank account and bring it to me. At the track.

"Call Will." I said looking back at Jake.

He nodded and grabbed his phone out of his pocket and I waved my hand for him to follow me out to the car as he was on the phone.

I heard him talking. Although of course I couldn't hear Will but I could hear enough to know what was happening.

"Yeah. Get the money from Layla's bank account now." He said frantically.

He looked at me and rolled his eyes. "What do you mean you can't?" He asked.

"Ugh. Just meet us at the damn track and and hide yourself we will get her back without the money." Jake spat the directions into the phone and slammed the phone down on the dash of the car.

I looked over to him. "We need weapons from my shop, and we need to get different cars for now. We cannot be seen in mine. Whoever took her knows the cars we drive and knows her." I said. "At least, we need to assume that."

Jake gave a small nod.

As soon as we reached my shop I jumped out of my car and walked over to the garage. "Hmm." I said to myself as I opened the door to some random persons car that I was working on. And almost done with. They wouldn't mind, would they? Not like I'm going to hurt it anymore then it already was. I'll fix it anyway.

"Come on, we will take this one." I told Jake as I got into the drivers side and turned the key, listening to the engine. The car wasn't horrible it was a 2013, custom. Needed some engine work and body work mostly but it should be fine for now.

"I grabbed some guns. But I don't know if we are going to want to use them. People are bound to here them from our positions at the track since its on a hill basically." Jake nodded and waved him into the car.

"Time to get Mists back." Jake and I said in unison.

Layla's POV

I woke up on a cold ass floor, my vision was as blurry as could be. And it was highly annoying. I tried to lift my left arm to rub my eye but it wouldn't move, and I was met with complete and udder pain. I took my other arm up to my face and rubbed my eyes.

I found I was laying on the floor of a fim lite poor excuse for a cell. I could easily bust out. There was no one around. Damn. This was all to easy. What's the catch?

I got up, holding my arm to my side. Judging by the feel of it, it was completely broken or the shoulder was dislocated. I would rather my shoulder be dislocated then have a broken arm.

I walked over to the cell door and grabbed a bobby pin from my hair. And started to try to pick the lock. It took longer then I thought it would but I finally got it and opened the door slowly.

Whoever kidnapped me wasn't the best. Unless I was being used for bate. But the bate part was highly doubted.

I don't think they execpted me to wake up so fast and get up in general.

I made my way to the side door and opened it. It opened with a squeak and I heard footsteps speeding toward me. "Shit." I mumbled.

"Boss! She's gone!" I heard one of them yell as I pulled my shirt over my head and tied it quickly. Behind my head to make a sling. And I booked it as fast as my tired legs would carry my cripple body.

I was out on the street. With no shirt on. In my bra and leather pants. With a mask. That didn't look suspicious at all now did it?

I sighed and turned into a ally way. No one had seen me thankfully as I made my escape. I hid behind a dumpster and held my breath as they walked by.

"She went down here I thought." One of them proudly announced.

"Well clearly she didn't you fucking idiot!" A girl screamed at them. And by her tone of voice it was the boss of the operation. "Now how are we going to get the money without her? I was just going to threaten her friends into giving it to me with her!" She screamed.

Damn. Interesting plan. However it wouldn't have worked anyway. No one knew how to get any money out of my account. Not even my brother.

I grinned and peaked my head around the side of the dumpster. Watching them. It was to dark for them to see me.

The girl was wearing a mask that covered her whole face, and the guys back was to me so I couldn't see his face at all.

"Just grab the car and we need to get to the track to try to get the money. Even without her." The girl announced as she walked away.

I had to get going. Jace and Jake were probably going to go to the track to get me.

I stood up and walked the way they weren't going. I took my shirt down from the sling, and put the shirt back on, taking off my mask and putting it in my pocket.

Since I'm coming out of this ally I can just scream and pretend I was attacked for my money or something I guess. I don't think the girl and her associate were anywhere around becuase I heard a car start and drive off.

I screamed. "Help me! Someone just attacked me!" I cried. "Help!" I made fake tears run down my face as I looked around frantically and limped around the stair aimlessly.

Finally someone heard me and ran over, putting there arm around me to help me stand. Which I didn't need but I don't really care.

"Miss! What happened?" I looked up to see one of the guys who worked in Jace's shop. Thank god.

But he didn't know me becauae the day I went to Jace's shop no one was there but me and him. I sighed. "Thank you Lucus." I started as I remembered his name. Lucus and Loka. Twins. I was sure this was Lucus.

"How do you know my name?" He asked with a questioning look.

I sighed and showed him my Mists mask that to pulled out of my pocket. "Who do you think covers most of your pay check at Jace's shop?" I asked.

He nodded. Knowing what I was trying to say. "Can you get me to a car? I need to get to the track. Jace and Jake are in trouble." I said as I stood up straight. My arm at my side as I held it there.

"Alright. But I think I better drive." He said. And I agreed after a few minutes of staring at him with my wtf face.

I knew he was a fairly good driver. He raced in the noob races all the time and has won some and lost some. The ones he loses are oonly by a little bit.

I sighed and got into the car. This will be interesting.
