After the duel between Yugi and Keith, Inya decided that she had helped Yugi quite enough. She had nothing against him, she just thought that she was not of use to them anymore. She went straight home and packed her bags. She then wrote a goodbye note:

 Dear Yugi and other companions,

You have been very kind of me, but I have not been very useful to you all in the last few days I have met you. I know that this seems melodramatic but for some reason, I don't feel like I have a reason to stay in Domino City. Hope you have wonderful lives.

Sincerely, Inya.

PS. If you are trying to look for me, follow the yellow beads.

Yugi didn't know she had written the note until he went over her house that very day. 'This doesn't add up.' Yugi thought to himself as he followed the yellow beads as the letter told him to. When the trail of beads ended, he was standing at the edge of a cliff. There he saw Inya. "Inya! What's going on? Why did you just leave?" Yugi screamed over the howling winds. Inya then walked over to Yugi and smiled with tears in her eyes. "I'm not useful. I've never been useful." Inya whispered as she sat at the edge of the cliff. She then stood up and jumped off of the cliff. "Inya!" Yugi called as he tried to grab her, but it was too late. She was gone.
