Frisky adjusted his pants around his waist as he walked into the next room. A thin strip of rock surrounded by more water led to the edge of the caverns. He made his way along it, careful not to fall in.

An old stone statue sat at the end of the room. It was carved in the shape of a horned monster with a hood over its head, sitting against the wall (surprisingly not depicted doing anything sexual (as far as Frisky could tell)). The structures near its feet seemed dry.

Frisky shrugged and moved onto the next room. He saw the rain ahead and decided to grab an umbrella from the nearby metal bin, not questioning the underground rain- he'd stopped relying on logic since Snowdic.

"Yo!" Frisky heard a monster shout. The teen from earlier was hiding in an alcove, barely sheltered from the rain.

"You got an umbrella? Cool!" the monster joined Frisky underneath the umbrella and they walked forward together.

"Man, Nokyel's awesome, huh?" the teen said, a look of admiration (and arousal) in his eyes. "He's so cool. He fucks up bad guys and NEVER loses!"

Frisky laughed nervously. "Haha, yeah..."

The pair came to a steep change in elevation as the rain slowed to a drizzle.  Frisky set down his umbrella and got ready to try to climb it, but the monster teen interjected.

"Here," he said, moving in front of the ledge. "Climb on my back."

"Ah, thanks," Frisky said, hoisting himself up. "What about you, though?"

"Don't worry, I'll find a way around," the monster said, scurrying away.

Frisky watched his footing as the solid rock ground gave way to an expansive plank bridge maze for as far as the eye could see. He wandered around for a few minutes, considering which direction to go in.

A blue glow on the ground caught his eye. As he leaned down to inspect it, the glowing spot grew larger, until suddenly a neon spear thrusted from the ground.

Frisky's eyes widened as he felt the whoosh of a spear being thrown past his ear. "Shit, not again!" he said, scrambling back onto his feet and away from the imminent barrage of spears.

More and more blue spots appeared on the ground, chasing him faster as he ran. The human could see a glimpse of Nokyel on the lower level of the maze, commanding the spears.

The bridges seemed to stretch on forever as Frisky ran, and the spears began to come faster and faster. He was starting to get tired.

He heard the clanking of metal boots not far behind him and rushed down one of the paths, quickly regretting it as he realized it was a dead end.

He turned around, hoping to be fast enough to double back without running into Nokyel, but to no avail. The knight was already standing there.

"Fuck," Frisky muttered under his breath, keeping his distance. Nokyel raised an arm and summoned a spear while the human prepared to dodge it.

To his surprise, however, the spear went right through the bridge instead of through him- causing the section to plummet into the darkness.
